We are a Non-profit Community interest Company dedicated to imparting scientific knowledge to clients so that they can become active partners in diagnosing and managing their own problems. At this clinic we treat disorders such as anxiety, depression, phobias, alcohol and drug problems, relationship difficulties, work related stress, etc. We also work remotely and offer video assessments and therapy sessions. We prescribe medication such as antidepressants, anti-anxiety, mood stabilisers and antipsychotics. This clinic is also a therapy centre offering a number of different counselling and psychotherapy sessions such as CBT, EMDR, relaxation and breathing exercises, Mindfulness meditation, Biofeedback therapy and Existential therapy. You can download free of charge six video sessions on how to manage your psychological problems and also a digital copy of my book – Emotions and Stress: How to Manage Them. We at this clinic offer a cafeteria of choices of therapies and drug treatment. We practice patient centered prescribing and believe that clients can become active partners in choosing the right medication for themselves through an enlightened discussion with the psychiatrist. It is therefore recommended that you pick and choose what suits you best and blend it with your own tested ways of dealing with your psychological issues.

My name is Michelle Carpenter. I am a fully qualified humanistic/integrative counsellor working from my own private practice in Bournemouth and within easy reach of Poole and Christchurch in Dorset. Within this setting I gained a Level 3 BTEC in TRIM (Trauma Risk Incident Management) This enabled me to assess and support work colleagues who had been exposed to incidents involving stress and trauma. I have experience of working with people who are vulnerable, isolated and are affected by common mental health problems. I have worked closely with people affected by drug and alcohol abuse and longer term issues such as homelessness and criminality.

An exclusive and independent rehab centre for the treatment of addictions and associated mental health issues The Haynes Clinic is a private rehabilitation centre for the treatment of alcohol, gambling and drug addiction. Drug addiction encompasses all so-called ‘recreational’ drugs (cocaine, ketamin, GBL, GHB, heroin and cannabis, for example). It also includes prescription medication for those with concerns about their use of drugs such as codeine, diazepam and other benzodiazepines, pregabalin, gabapentin and sleeping tablets. The centre provides detox and counselling with a view to you becoming entirely abstinent from alcohol and drugs. The counselling will also cover how to deal with stress, anxiety and depression – feelings that are often associated with addiction and other compulsive behaviours. Most of the rehab treatment is focused around group therapy as this has been proven to be most effective in helping addicts and alcoholics into recovery. There will also be some one to one counselling to cover individual goals and anything of particular sensitivity. All clients at The Haynes Clinic will have a consultation with our consultant psychiatrist on admission. She will prescribe any detox medication required and oversee your medical needs during your stay. Your stay here can be entirely private without it being revealed to your own GP and being on your medical notes – or we can liaise with your GP if you prefer. If we need to be in touch with your GP – or any other professional outside the confines of the treatment centre – this will always be with your consent. We also involve your family and those closest to you in your treatment. We ask the people who care about you to tell us about your behaviour and how it has affected them. We also offer them family counselling if they need support as a result of your addiction. The treatment centre is located in a tranquil, rural setting in Bedfordshire. We aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible while getting you well. All clients at the centre have their own bedrooms in a home comfort setting. Some have en suite facilities. All are good sized well appointed rooms with a double bed. We take account of your choices when ordering in the food for your stay though once you are feeling physically better, your rehab experience will include taking on responsibilities such as helping to prepare meals and keeping your environment clean and tidy. Some people need to relearn these skills; others can share their experience, helping their peers to learn – which itself boosts self-esteem.

Financial difficulties can exacerbate issues for those fighting addictions and make the recovery phase more difficult. Our service was set up to provide free, confidential face to face support to help; not only ‘wipe the slate clean’, but to educate people so that they can manage their own finances effectively, and not fall back in to the same financial problems in the future. WHO WE ARE 01_icon Financial Inclusion for All Our services have been designed to work closely with members of the community who have encountered financial difficulties due to lifestyle choices and prevent the likelihood of relapse, for example, into former drinking and substance misuse patterns, which impact on their financial position in life.
