Eliza has specialisms in music with the 0-5s and in West African drum and dance. She currently runs groups for parents with new babies and for families with young children. These groups introduce parents to musical games and rhymes to help them communicate and develop healthy relationships with their children through shared music sessions. The sessions give them opportunities to meet and socialise with other families as well as give them ways to soothe and communicate with their children through songs and rhymes. We watch the babies emerge into their musical selves as they grow and become more able to move, sing and respond to the music. Share teaching, research, capital and human resources across the consortium. Focus on teaching core curriculum subjects (English, Maths and Sciences). Use digital, creative education and training as well as heritage studies as media for teaching core curriculum subjects. Provide high quality, academically relevant extra-curricular enrichment activities across the consortium. Essentially Cuban in Origin, Salsa originated in the 1920’s from an unlikely mixture of African Rhythms and the melodies of the Spanish Colonies. This was called “Son”, which together with other Cuban rhythms like Rumba and Danzon, merged to create a rich four-beat musical style. In the 1950’s, Jazz, Blues and other Black American rhythms begun to influence Salsa. At this time, horns such as the trombone, trumpet and saxophone were introduced giving the music its rich distinctive sound. Other Latin rhythms such as Mambo were incorporated into the Salsa musical structure; this was reflected in the dance, creating faster and more complex footwork with more twists and turns, giving birth to the extremely stylish dance we know today as “Salsa”. The music spread rapidly with the large migration of Cuban and Puerto Rican people to America since 1959. Many famous musicians, among them Tito Puente, Tito Rodriguez, Celia Cruz & Mongo Santamaria began to play at well-known venues in New York, such as the Palladium, establishing Salsa in the United States. More recently the music migrated to Europe. With the expanding Latin American population in London there is now a thriving Salsa scene, with many Clubs and bands involved in it.

Coming from a traditional 12 month of the year bbq season ( Braai season) to a mind set that you only bbq in the summer months was interesting. We believe that cooking outdoors can and should be done year around, no matter the weather conditions. With our range of premium bbq’s we will be able to guide you how you can adapt what you cook on the bbq in order to enjoy great tasting food off the grill year around. Wether it be Christmas roasts, summer steaks or slow cooked winter stews and curries. We will be adding a BBQ Cooking Class in the future once our operations are fully up and running and are very excited to kick this part of our business off. Buying from an owner run store like this not only gives you personalised service, it gives you a friendly name and face you can call or chat to if you need some advice on anything BBQ, we are always happy to pass on some helpful hints and tips on getting the most out of your cooking experience.
