Open Yale Courses (OYC) provides lectures and other materials from selected Yale College courses to the public free of charge via the Internet. The courses span the full range of liberal arts disciplines, including humanities, social sciences, and physical and biological sciences. Registration is not required No course credit, degree, or certificate is available through the Open Yale Courses website. The online courses are designed for a wide range of people around the world, among them self-directed and life-long learners, educators, and high school and college students. The integrated, highly flexible web interface allows users, in effect, to audit Yale undergraduate courses if they wish to. It also gives the user a wide variety of other options for structuring the learning process, for example downloading, redistributing, and remixing course materials. Each course includes a full set of class lectures produced in high-quality video accompanied by such other course materials as syllabi, suggested readings, and problem sets. The lectures are available as downloadable videos, and an audio-only version is also offered. In addition, searchable transcripts of each lecture are provided. Who Leads Open Yale Courses? Diana E. E. Kleiner, Dunham Professor of History of Art and Classics and former Deputy Provost, is Founding Project Director and Principal Investigator of Open Yale Courses. Professor Kleiner brings to the project a wealth of experience in the development of Internet educational offerings as well as her long-time experience as Yale professor, scholar, and administrator.

Lilyput Lane is a cute, child sized street perfect for role playing and imaginative play. The ‘Lane’ has a police station, house, beauty salon, café, shop, vet and doctors surgeries. All rooms are fully equipped with related toys so children can embrace each theme. There is also a train table where children can build their own train tracks to play with and a car table where they are able to drive the toy cars. We also provide a designated baby area with plenty of baby toys and a lovely calm area with cushions to lie on and books to read. National Taekwondo Club (NTC) was established more than five decades ago by Master Hetherington, making it officially the UK’s longest-serving Taekwondo Club. In addition to Derby, we have three branches in Nottingham (Nottingham Central, Arnold and OMAC-UK in Gedling), Coventry, Liverpool, London, and Rotherham. National Taekwondo Club – Derby (NTC Derby) is a non for profit organisation whose objectives are: Taekwondo Promotion The advancement of the sport by promoting the game of Taekwondo for the benefits of the residents of Derby and its environs. Life Improvement The provision of facilities for the learning, teaching, and playing of Taekwondo for the benefits of the residents of Derby and its environs with object of improving the condition of life. Many Taekwondo instructors will tell you that Taekwondo is an Olympic sport, which is true, but not all will tell you that we are the only Taekwondo Club in the city of Derby that practices Olympic Taekwondo as developed and practiced in South Korea and the only group that is a full member of the official national governing body for Olympic Taekwondo, and that is British Taekwondo which’s functions include responsibility for the selection of National Teams to compete at International and Olympic level. We have trained British and European champions. We have also had a number of students selected to train with and represent Great Britain. We also have dedicated children’s classes throughout the week at school venues across the UK.

I am a surface designer and have been designing and cutting stencils for almost 30 years - first for printed textiles, then for architectural sandblasted glass and currently for papercuts. I love simple, bold and graphic imagery and am inspired by primitive art, Scandinavian textiles, my Welsh heritage and the beautiful Gower landscape where I live, all mixed up with a love of illustration and design. Although I gained recognition for my distinctive architectural glass, undertaking large scale commissions for public and private spaces and meeting the Queen with my work, it is the hands on, simple and traditional technique of paper cutting which I currently find most gratifying. With just a scalpel, paper and cutting mat I create contemporary and humorous images which are designed to make you smile. My products sell across the world and in addition to winning an award at the prestigious Made by Hand exhibition I have been featured in the press. Everything on this site is designed or made by me and I source my products as locally as I possibly can, and always within the UK. I exhibit widely in galleries in the UK and attend many artist events in person as well as running paper cutting workshops from my studio.
