Glasbury
Glasbury House Outdoor Education Centre, now known as The River Wye Activity
Centre, is a substantial former aristocratic residence. Grade II listed with
parts of which are believed to date back to the 1750’s which has been much
adapted and altered over many years. This includes substantial reconfiguration
in Victorian Times and modern extensions in the past 50 years. For the last 5
decades, Glasbury House Outdoor Education Centre has welcomed thousands of
children and youth. Outdoor education has always been at the heart of the
philosophy at Glasbury, and the River Wye Activity Centre is no different. We
look forward to continuing to uphold it’s tradition by providing: Canoe hire

biking and much more. At the River Wye Activity Centre, we have a team of staff
passionate about outdoor education and outdoor activities. We specialise in
residential school or college trips, but can also put on corporate events,
courses and training days. As well as the main house, we also have a bunkhouse
on site which can sleep a further 27 guests.
