Confidance Performing Arts is an established and exciting school for dance, acro and theatre arts in Chryston, Glasgow. Our aim is to create a fun, yet disciplined environment in which our students can develop skills in dance,acro and musical theatre. Our vision is to offer the highest standard of training possible to children from as young as 2 and half years old to 18. Our team of wonderful teachers will endeavour to use their combined experience, both as teachers and industry professionals, to help produce fun, progressive and inspiring lessons where the children will learn not just performing arts but life skills as well. All of our teachers are fully qualified and have worked in the entertainment arena as professionals in dance, choreography, musical theatre, Acro, film and TV. We offer classes in Tap, Ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft, Commercial, Acro, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Boys Street Dance, Competative classes and Private lessons. We follow the IDTA, RAD and ACROBATIC ARTS syllabus. We pride ourselves in having a 100% pass rate for our IDTA and RAD examinations, with a large majority passing with Distinction/Honours Confidance instructs and inspires individuals to excel in dance, singing and acting. Our focus is on building strong confident and technical all-round performers, while encouraging a positive and comfortable atmosphere in class as well as giving our students opportunities to gain experience in shows, competitions master classes and events with high production values.

PQA is a dedicated performing arts school with classes for children and young adults in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre (singing & dancing) and Film & Television.Pauline and her husband Steve opened their first Academy when they couldn't find anything that ticked all the boxes for their son, Charlie. They wanted to be able to provide performing arts tuition that was enjoyable, fun and would build children’s confidence. More importantly, they wanted to help young people to pursue their life's dreams, whatever those dreams may be, using drama to help children realise their potential and blossom into confident young people. To Pauline and Steve, the performing arts is more than just singing and acting and they wanted to reflect that at PQA. They therefore created a performing arts school that covers the entire arts spectrum, including lessons in Comedy, Drama and of course Film & TV. When 130 students turned up for the opening of the first PQA Academy, they knew they were onto something! Over 15 years later, PQA has more than 200 Academies nationwide and is the largest provider of Film & TV education for young people in the UK.

Sunday Care Therapy was inspired by Gladys Sleater (see above) the 92 year old Aunt of our Founder Derek. Taking in Gladys into his home and acting as her primary carer, Derek became aware first hand of how difficult it was to book trustworthy care in Hackney. After being let down by all the care agencies on offer, it was time to change the system. We believe that the people receiving care (that’s you reading this, or your parent’s, aunt’s, uncle’s or grandparent’s) are the most important people in the delivery of the care. Not some whizzy app which doesn’t do much, or getting let down before your first assessment.

Imaginative Drama Classes for childrenHi I’m Becca and I’m the founder and director of Dramabuds. I set up Dramabuds in May 2008 to offer classes that were new, exciting and different. Using my expertise in drama and the creative arts my idea was to create an imaginary play and drama class for the early years and Dramabuds was born! We offer classes for children aged 2 to 10 years, we base our classes around a story theme each week and we get the whole class involved in the action through drama, play, movement and song! Before setting up Dramabuds I learned my trade by studying at drama school and acting in theatres before leading and producing drama, theatre and education projects for arts companies and schools across London and the South East. I have worked with Cardboard Citizens, Cirque Du Soleil and Creative Partnerships on high profile projects. But the birth of my second daughter Eliza inspired me to create drama exclusively for the Early years. So Dramabuds was born in the summer of 2008 in my back garden with my daughter Florence (aged 2 and a half) who loves dressing up as a princess and acting out stories. A year later we were running our classes at venues across SW London and were awarded the runners up prize for ‘ Best new Activity for the under 5’s’in the whole of the UK by What’s on 4 little ones.
