The Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities The FBCA was formed in 1924, supporting the interests of Burial and Cremation Authorities, whether Local Authority or Private Sector and has almost 90% of UK crematoria in membership. Representing the interests of its members at Government, working closely with the Ministry of Justice, Defra and the Scottish Government. It has vast experience in offering its members technical advice, provides a range of training opportunities and carry’s out an inspection process to ensure compliance with national burial and cremation codes of practice. The Cremation Society of Great Britain The Society, a registered charity, not conducted for profit, was established in 1874. It is the pioneer of cremation in Great Britain and built and operated the very first crematorium for public use, in 1885 in Woking, Surrey. Since the Society's formation it has worked tirelessly to promote and establish the practice of cremation among all members of the community. It has aided both private enterprise and local authorities in the setting up of new crematoria and has pressed the Government departments concerned for developments in the law so that this rational, safe and dignified method of disposal of the dead might be practiced with the least possible restriction. The Society was responsible for drawing up the forms of certification for cremation and these were later adopted as the basis for the first Cremation Act in 1902. As a direct result of its activities cremation now accounts for approximately 75% of all funerals in Great Britain.

When I started blogging in 2010 on a very clunky laptop, I had no clue at all that Poppy Loves London and all that it encompasses, would become my full time and very much loved job. I’ve written endlessly about cosy cafes to hide away in and fancy restaurants for celebrations, my latest beauty finds, bakeries (the cake!) gorgeous interiors, books I’ve adored and all things knitwear. Oh, and jumpsuits. (Oh, and dresses…) And of course, you can’t shut me up about my home city, London. What a place it is… I have over a decade of experience in working in branding, social media and communications so I understand the influencer world from both sides, which has been incredibly valuable over the years and has meant that I have been able to work with and support some of my favourite brands and businesses. Helping people drive more business and revenue via their Instagram accounts is something I’m immensely proud of – I’ve loved every second. I live in Walthamstow, London with my husband and daughter, Isabelle, who was born in 2018. After a fairly traumatic few months for us all, while she suffered enormously with reflux, we all popped out the other end with a huge sigh of relief and she is now a proper walking, talking human and the funniest person I know. She can also out-eat me in crumpets, which you should know, is exceptionally impressive. As a young family man, stuck in the rat race, I was earning a decent salary but still found myself in debt. I decided to change things around. I dabbled in online blogging, multi-level marketing, online gambling and buying and selling cars. I did well, but it was not something I enjoyed doing all of the time. My time was owned, and I wanted to own my time. Planning for my future was so important to me. I found trading at 24 when a friend introduced hyper scalping to me. We used indicators to trade the 1-minute timeframe and, on average, would catch 3-10 pips at a time. The adrenaline rush was unexplainable. But, it eventually led to blown accounts due to greed. I then moved onto trading binary options. And as always. I was doing very well on the demo account. The second I went live I became complement, my patience wore off and I was just chasing the dream of getting rich quick. I then decided to trade Forex. I was excited by the opportunity it presented. Work from home or anywhere in the world. To be able to own my time, provide for my family, do the things I loved and plan my retirement. Why? The initial investment was small, and the opportunity was limitless. I had no plan or strategy to work with. But after three years of trying everything which included everything from not following a plan to being greedy and chasing money, I decided to take things seriously. It wasn't long before I had my penny dropping moment and realised that trading is more than just chasing the dream, but rather a serious business for serious people, things started to get better for me. Within a few months of me applying myself, I decided to quit my job and become a fulltime trader. My goal is to take the journey I have gone through and impart it onto others who have faced a similar situation as me and cut down your years of learning and making mistakes to a simple yet powerful approach so you can have an opportunity to live the life you have always wanted.
