This City & Guilds one day training course will allow service engineers to meet the industry standards requirements for service and maintenance of refrigeration systems containing flammable refrigerants (A3 & A2L) including R290 and R600a. It will provide you with the skills and knowledge to safely handle hydrocarbon refrigerants during installation, service, maintenance and disposal. It is also suitable for engineers working with flammable HFO’s and HFC’s including R1234yf, R1234ze and R32. On successful completion of the course, candidates will be proficient in handling flammable refrigerants contained within refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems and; Dangers of working with hydrocarbons and identifying hazards Regulations for the installation, servicing and de-commissioning of hydrocarbon RAC systems Create a safe working environment and to be able to handle refrigerants safely including recovery, storage and transportation of recovered refrigerants Be able to dispose of recovered refrigerants and oil correctly

18th Edition Course Description: At this time the 18th edition course is a 3 day short course clearly aimed at anyone involved in the design, construction, inspection and testing of electrical installations & systems, equally it is a nationally recognised ‘must have’ qualification for companies seeking to recruit electricians, or indeed individuals joining Part P Schemes. Every electrical installation that was designed to the 18th edition regulations (which was released in July 2018) or all electrical installations from 2019 onwards will have been to the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 2018. Firstly it is intended to introduce the candidate to a working knowledge of the Wiring Regulations (BS7671 IET) whilst also giving a brief overview of the Electricity at Work Regulations covering their statutory duties. Previous knowledge of the regulations is not assumed, however, a fundamental knowledge of electrical principles is assumed. Please be aware that the 18th Edition course is not designed to teach you every electrical regulation in the BS7671 nevertheless it will teach you the best practices on how the reference the latest regulations as you would on the job. As such key topics currently covered on the 17th Edition will still be included. We have been delivering 18th Edition courses for many years and although it is mainly theory based you cannot beat real training, in a real classroom. Furthermore by training with other people in your class you will benefit from being able to ask relevant questions as well as finding the answers to many questions from your fellow students that you may not have even thought of. The examination is a 2 hour multiple choice, open book PC meaning you will be allowed to take a copy of the BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 IET WIRING REGULATIONS just as you would in the real world. It is also a PC based examination with instant results. The course cost includes examination entry fees. On completion of the training and Examination you will be awarded with the 18th edition qualification City & Guilds 2382. Whether your a practicing electrician or enrolled on other qualifications this course will be delivered in a great learning environment. This evening class is a great opportunity to meet and socialise with other local creatives whilst learning and experimenting with the screenprint process.

A single day knife making course is a great way to make yourself an item that will last a lifetime, on this one day course we forge a blacksmiths knife (also called a Viking knife) a full metal knife with integral handle. A knife is one of the oldest tools ever made by humanity and it is one that invokes many emotions to people when they see and use it for a productive task. When doing a knife making course here at Bearded Pig Forge we will discuss the fine details of a knife and how they are made as well as the history of forging them.  On the course you will learn the basics of forging a blade and how to effectively heat treat them in order to get the most use out of the blades as well as techniques for sharpening and honing blades. Courses are £150 Per person per day.  I run a strict cancellation policy. If you cannot attend the date you have booked please contact me within three weeks and I will rebook your course for free, If you contact me after this deadline you will lose your place. The Spanglish club is for all people wanting to improve their Spanish outside of a class room. Depending on numbers, there are going to be groups of max 6 people, the group will be Beginners (A2), Intermediate and Advance. Each group will have a Spanish native speaker who can help you with your Spanish :) We will first meet our table amig@s and socialise, then we will make a fun and interesting activity for you to have a better Spanish speaking experience.
