Suicide is a global public health issue that affects millions of people every year. It is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that requires a comprehensive and coordinated response from various sectors and stakeholders. Suicide prevention is not only a matter of saving lives, but also of promoting mental health and well-being, reducing stigma and discrimination, and enhancing resilience and coping skills.

In this course, you will learn how to recognise, assess, and intervene in suicidal situations and provide postvention and support for those affected by suicide. You will also learn about the different factors that influence suicidal behaviour, such as biological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors. By the end of this course, you will be able to apply your knowledge and skills to prevent suicide and support those at risk or impacted by suicide.
