Join this self-paced online learning module to find out all about Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, and the role they play in supporting the decarbonisation of the transport industry.
The module is designed to take between 3-4 hours to complete and can be done in one go or you can drop in and out as time allows.
Currently there are only two truly zero-emission transport technologies - Electric Vehicles (EVs) or Hydrogen. In this module we will be exploring what an EV is, how it works and the different types available.

Examine how "clean" electric vehicles really are and compare them to other forms of transport

Electric Vehicles: An introduction to the key technical concepts of electric vehicles.
Comparison of EV drivetrains: Exploring the different types of electric vehicles and how they compare and differ.
Applications and limitations: No technology is perfect, but all great innovators knows that the aim is to find their niche. In this section we will examine the strengths and weaknesses of electric vehicles.
What's next?: The transport is constantly innovating and developing. Here we will explore the likely future opportunities and innovations for electric vehicles and the impact these will have on the business case for electric vehicles.
