Using a broad nib can feel a little intimidating at first, but with the right guidance it’s a skill you can pick up surprisingly quickly.

We’ll begin with a simple double-pencil technique to help you understand the basic shapes and letterforms. Once you’re comfortable with these foundations, you’ll move on to using a calligraphy pen and ink, developing your skills while creating beautiful decorative letters you can use to enhance your future writing.

Throughout this two-hour workshop, you’ll be guided step by step with clear instructions, demonstrations, and practice sheets to help you begin your journey into the use of a pen for traditional calligraphy.

This session is designed especially for beginners, so no previous experience is needed.
