L3 Award in Education and Training 

(Often still referred to as PTLLS)

Initial Teacher Training course, recognised as the minimum required qualification to teach adults in the UK.

The course consists of 3 units plus, micro-teach practical activity, is portfolio based and has No Exams!

L3 Award in Education and Training is a lifelong qualification designed to demonstrate knowledge and competence that includes:  

• Understanding roles and responsibilities of a teaching role
• Planning effective and inclusive learning  
• Teaching effectively and inclusively, whilst maintaining a safe and supportive environment 
• Assessing learners effectively and appropriately
• Providing constructive and developmental feedback 

This qualification is not sector or profession specific therefore, is relatable across the professions and industries that you are experienced or qualified in.   

Our face to face, interactive courses are a safe, supportive environment where you will have direct contact with a tutor, where you will be fully supported and you can ask questions! 

You will be assigned a personal tutor who will support you and be there to answer any questions as you progress      (via email, telephone or zoom type sessions, whichever you prefer) 

Our hands on approach incorporates actually using a broad range of highly effective teaching techniques and activities. This way, you will not only learn and develop on the course but, will have practical resources and ideas that you can add to your teacher toolbox to take away to use in the future too. 

All learners must be age 19+ with a good standard of English and ICT skills (to support accessing learning materials and electronic writing and submission of assignments)
