Join us at the STEM Learning Centre in York for the official launch of the Future Threads Careers Video Resources — an inspiring day celebrating the future of textiles education.
This free event will bring together teachers, industry professionals, universities, and training providers to explore the exciting opportunities within the modern textiles industry.
Through a programme of inspiring talks, live demonstrations, and networking, you'll hear directly from the organisations featured in the resources, including leading weaving, tailoring, and textile specialists, as well as education partners.
Discover how the Future Threads resources can support the delivery of GCSE Design & Technology and Art & Design, helping students understand the journey from fibre to finished product while exploring the wide range of careers available across the textiles sector. The Future Threads series consists of four curriculum-linked digital resources, each exploring a different area of the modern textiles industry through videos, industry interviews, classroom activities, and career pathways.
