The New & Aspiring Leaders programme is designed for anyone stepping into, or about to step into, a supervisory or management role, whether you're brand new to leading a team or want to build on skills you're already using.
This programme moves from technical expert to confident people leader, with practical tools for the situations that come up most in manufacturing: delegating, managing performance, handling conflict, and building a team. Delegate numbers are kept small, with one-to-one coaching calls between each workshop so you can put what you've learned into practice with support.
What you'll cover:
Making the shift from technical expert or individual contributor to people leader, including managing former peers
Delegating effectively using a structured framework
Setting clear expectations and having difficult performance conversations
Recognising and managing workplace conflict, including your own default style
Building a psychologically safe, effective team and understanding what motivates people
What you'll get:
Four live online workshops, three hours each
One-to-one coaching calls between every session
A workbook and reference handouts for each workshop, yours to keep
This course is ideal for those 12 months either side of a promotion who are new to managing people, looking to sharpen their skills in leading a team, holding people to account, and handling conflict with confidence.
