Description

YOU WILL NEED TO ATTEND SPLAT TRAINING FOR 2 DAYS
This course is intended to benefit Learners by preparing them to deal with a range of outdoor first aid situations. Successful completion of the course will evidence knowledge and practical skills identified by the Institute for Outdoor Learning in line with Band 3 learning content.

This qualification is for unsupported outdoor or adventure activity leaders, typically operating in situations where help is less than a few hours away, e.g. outdoor instructors, outdoor learning practitioners, mountain leaders, Duke of Edinburgh assessors, bushcraft instructors, forest school leaders, canoe expedition leaders. This list is not exhaustive.

What to expect:
This course will take place partly inside and partly outside regardless of weather conditions. You MUST bring layers of warm clothes. Waterproofs and propper footwear. If weather is warm you should still be clothed in long sleves and trousers. There are some practical and some multiple choice assessments for First Aid qualifications. First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and recovery position.
