Join us for the first of our in-person sessions hosted by Cedar Mount Academy, M18 7DT. This session on Energy is led by Graham Perrin, Physics Partners Coach.

This session explores the definition of energy as a calculated quantity to predict system changes rather than a transforming substance. It focuses on analysing initial and final conditions of energy stores and pathways. Topics include specific heat capacity (inc. the required practical), the Joule, and distinguishing calculation-based descriptions from physical process explanations.

This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. This session is part of the Manchester South Physics Hub series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
