Who is this course for?

This Basic Working with Asbestos Safety Training Course is designed for:

  • Anyone who may be at risk of coming into contact with asbestos during their work.

  • Workers who need to know how to use precautions and equipment to avoid disturbing asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).

  • Supervisors or managers in construction or maintenance who need a basic understanding of asbestos risks and when to “stop the job” if ACMs are suspected.

⚠️ Important:


This course does not qualify you to carry out unlicensed, notifiable non-licensed, or licensed asbestos work. Additional specialist training is required for those activities.

Course Objectives

The course is designed to:

  • Provide simple, practical guidance on asbestos safety.

  • Cover all essential subject areas for avoiding asbestos exposure.

  • Ensure learners understand what to do, and what not to do, when asbestos risks are identified.
