Who is this course for?
This Basic Working with Asbestos Safety Training Course is designed for:
Anyone who may be at risk of coming into contact with asbestos during their work.
Workers who need to know how to use precautions and equipment to avoid disturbing asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
Supervisors or managers in construction or maintenance who need a basic understanding of asbestos risks and when to “stop the job” if ACMs are suspected.
⚠️ Important:
This course does not qualify you to carry out unlicensed, notifiable non-licensed, or licensed asbestos work. Additional specialist training is required for those activities.
Course Objectives
The course is designed to:
Provide simple, practical guidance on asbestos safety.
Cover all essential subject areas for avoiding asbestos exposure.
Ensure learners understand what to do, and what not to do, when asbestos risks are identified.
