This specialist course is aimed at supporting the workforce in low- to middle- income countries using Nest equipment to provide postural care safely and effectively.
This course covers:

What will happen to a person's body over time if they are not supported
The benefit of supported lying to help protect body shape, function and comfort
Principles in using Nest equipment to support people whether they are lying during the day or night
Safety considerations and outcome measures
Supported lying is central to delivering 24-hour postural care. Not only can it help to reduce pain, improve sleep, prevent health problems, but it supports people with disabilities to live better lives. This training aims to equip local providers to deliver standardised training to the local workforce.
