Are you stepping into a new Head of Department role, or simply looking for a fresh perspective on leading your team?

This short, online course is designed to equip you with the confidence, clarity, and practical strategies you need to strengthen your department and its direction. It also offers a safe space to ask those all-important questions you may not get the chance to raise elsewhere.

You will explore every aspect of departmental leadership—from shaping a clear vision and defining curriculum intent, to planning for progression, embedding SEND adaptations, and enriching the learning experience.

The course also covers key elements such as assessment strategies, capturing the student voice, and developing “the full picture” of learning. These insights will ensure your department is well-prepared to present confidently to SLT, Governors, and Ofsted.

Designed to be both thought-provoking and highly practical, the course will leave you with actionable ideas and resources you can take back and implement immediately.
