Description

Come join us at Stitching Kitchen for a rejuvenating couple of hours of dressmaking every Wednesday evening. Over the weeks, we're creating a space dedicated to nurturing your sewing journey and providing you with some essential 'me time'. 

Bring along your current sewing project and benefit from the support you need to progress at your own pace.

Helen will be there to guide you through any challenges you encounter with your project. From deciphering patterns to tackling fit issues, interpreting instructions, and making adjustments, Helen is here to help.


What you will learn/achieve

  • You can work on your own project at your own pace with an expert sewing tutor on hand to guide you through any challenges.

  • Help with anything from understanding sewing pattern instructions to tackling fit issues.

  • Confidence to make progress in your own personal sewing journey.


What's included

Tuition: full instruction and support in a friendly inclusive envornment. Small class size (maximum of 6).

Use of Pfaff machines in Stitching Kitchen's fully equipped studio.

Tea and biscuits.


What to bring

Just bring your sewing project! You will use Pfaff machines in Stitching KItchen's fully equipped studio.

Stitching Kitchen has a well stocked haberdashery that is available to purchase during your workshop in case you need any notions to complete your project.

Please note that this workshop is held in our light and spacious first floor studio at Stitching Kitchen, which is accessible by stairs.   


About your tutor

Helen is professionally trained in pattern cutting and costume design. Helen has spent years fitting wedding dresses and costumes to all body types. She has an encyclopaedic knowledge of dressmaking and shares her skills during weekly dressmaking sessions and garment sewing workshops.
