This in-person workshop is led by David Bailey, Coach for Physics Partners and hosted by Macmillan Academy, Middlesbrough, TS5 4AG.

These sessions are for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists, early career teachers and teacher trainees. Technicians are also welcome to attend.

Teaching specific heat capacity and latent heat.

In this session we will review how specific heat capacity and latent heat can be linked to everyday experiences. We will explore the required/core practical for specific heat capacity to help the experiment run smoothly. We will also consider how these experiences can be used to motivate pupils and help the learning stick.
