Description

Join us for an hour of online subject knowledge CPD: Magnetism and Electromagnetism at KS4 (session 1 of 2), led by Neal Gupta, Physics Partners Coach.

This session introduces the essential ideas of magnetism and electromagnetism that underpin the KS4 specification. We will cover the difference between permanent and induced magnets, the properties of magnetic fields, and the principles and applications of electromagnetism. These foundations are crucial for building towards more challenging concepts such as the motor effect and electromagnetic induction which are covered in the follow-on workshop.

This online session is for non-specialist physics teachers and early career teachers. Trainee teachers, technicians and teaching assistants are also welcome.

The link to join the CPD will be sent out after delegates register.

This CPD session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners as part of the East Midlands Online Physics Hub programme. Sessions are run on a half termly basis.

Physics Partners is a charity that provides free support to physics teachers in state secondary schools in the UK. Their mission is to improve physics teaching and inspire students to consider studying physics at A-level.
