Introducing Forces at KS3 - online session

Description

Join us for an hour of online subject knowledge CPD: Introducing Forces at KS3 led by Neal Gupta, Physics Partners Coach.

Forces make things happen! Forces 'tell the physics story'; if you understand forces and their effects then this will help you in many other areas of physics. The workshop will look at common student misconceptions and how to overcome them. You will be introduced to a coherent strategy for introducing forces at KS3 involving how to describe forces correctly and the use of free-body diagrams. During the workshop, there will be live demonstrations to help you with delivery of this subject area.

This online session is for non-specialist physics teachers and early career teachers. Trainee teachers, technicians and teaching assistants are also welcome.

This CPD session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners as part of the East Midlands Online Physics Hub programme. Sessions are run on a half termly basis.
