Join us for this in-person session supporting KS5 physics teaching led by Physics Partners Coach Jean-Michel Jacquinot, Head of Physics at Roundwood Park School.

Part 1: Examiner practice - sample standardisation of marking. Part 2: Extra/supra curricular: Idea sharing session

The focus for this session will start with a close quarters study of the adaptations made by the AQA exam board at A-level in response to the outcry at the difficulty of the 2024 exam series via twin sets of exam questions. We will end the session with a discussion of opportunities that can be offered by physics departments to inspire and stretch their students, from offering the Olympiad to running of trips like CERN, and running 'competitive universities' programmes.

This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. The session is part of the North West Herts Physics Hub series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
