DESMOS for physics - Software training by Alan Denton
Desmos - for physics teachers and students
Desmos is an incredibly powerful tool; it can be used to help students create a quick graph or analyse their practical. It can also be used as a teaching tool - creating lessons where students can sketch answers, solve calculations, complete tables, draw graphs, complete card sorts, answer multiple choice questions and much more - all whilst the teacher monitors class progress.
In this session we will have a look at how Desmos can be used by both teachers and students, and share ideas where and when we think we can get the best from it during KS5.
Expect plenty of cake, new ideas and chances for hands-on experimentation!
This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. The session is part of the North West Herts Physics Hub series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
