Join us for this in-person session on Teaching Density led by Karl Stokes and Heather Pateman, Physics Partners Coaches and hosted by Kempston Academy, MK42 7EB.
Fundamental Principles: Understand mass, volume, and density, and how these properties determine whether objects float or sink.
Practical Investigations: Measure and calculate density using different materials, linking results to real-world applications like ship design and material selection.
Exam Preparation: Develop confidence solving calculation questions, interpreting density-related problems, and explaining outcomes in GCSE-style assessments.
Expect plenty of cake, new ideas and chances for hands-on experimentation!
This session is fully-funded and delivered by Physics Partners. The session is part of the Bedford Physics Hub series of twilight sessions for physics teachers, particularly non-specialists and early career teachers. Technicians are also welcome to attend.
