Watercolour Christmas Card Painting – Candle and Cones

Description

This workshop is aimed at all levels – from beginners to anyone with previous

experience, and who wants to learn how to paint an elegant and charming Christmas Card from one

of Helen’s original designs.

The beautiful Candle and Cones design will already be drawn out for you on suitable watercolour

paper, so there’s no need to worry about being able to draw anything! You’ll also be given a card

and envelope to fasten your painting to, so will leave the class with a completed card to give away

(or maybe even keep for yourself?!)

There’ll be some ‘warm-up’ exercises beforehand, giving you the opportunity to get used to the

paints, brushes, paper, etc, and at that point you’ll mix your colours ready to start painting.

You’ll also learn how to apply masking fluid to the design, in order to preserve white paper for super

contrast!

Please don’t forget to bring something with you to carry your projects home in (especially if the

weather should be wet!) – a small lidded tray or box will be fine.
