The screen value conversation: Purposeful use of technology in learning

Conversations about technology in education often focus on how much time children spend on screens. However, this can oversimplify a more important question: what value are those digital experiences creating? Not all screen use is equal, and measuring time alone does not always provide a meaningful picture of impact.

In this webinar, Dan Williams, Head of Product Adoption at International Schools Partnership (ISP), and Dan Groves, EdTech Lead at British School of Málaga, will explore screen value for evaluating technology based on its contribution to learning and teaching. Grounded in ISP's Learning.First™ framework, the discussion will explore how a Screen Value approach can help schools move beyond debates about "more screen time" versus "less screen time" whilst engaging parents in informed conversations about purposeful technology use in classrooms. Participants will gain practical insights into evaluating digital experiences, addressing common concerns about technology, and communicating technology decisions with greater clarity and confidence.
