This ALSG run nationally recognised course develops your skills in combating child abuse and safeguarding children. It will enable candidates to better recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse / neglect and teach you how to respond in a confident and competent manner. It also covers how to makes referrals to relevant agencies or professional groups.
This course is a mixture of e-learning (8 hours) and 1 day face to face teaching.
The course is aimed primarily at Core Trainees (ST1-3) in Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine & General Practice. Places dependent, it is also open to Specialty Trainees, ACP's and Senior Nurses subject to approval. We cannot currently accept Dentists onto this course.
