Designed for fire & security technicians’ activities, it covers both the theory and step-by-step procedure of Safe Isolation. You'll learn how to carry out work legally, safely, and confidently — and avoid the potentially fatal risks of working on live systems.
If your job role requires practical training, we recommend our in-class safe isolation of electrical supplies course (including CVD test and practical assessment) to be undertaken every 3 years with this online course as an annual refresher.

Does this course include a practical element?
The online course covers all theoretical and procedural steps. If required, you can arrange an optional 1-to-1 practical assessment with Ember Compliance to demonstrate competence in person.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes! Upon passing the final quiz (70% pass mark), you’ll receive a downloadable certificate. This may be CPD-accredited depending on your employer’s requirements.
How long is the certificate valid for?
Certificates are valid for 12 months. You’ll be invited to refresh your training before it expires.
What if I fail the quiz?
You have up to three attempts to pass. If unsuccessful after three tries, you’ll need to repurchase access to try again.
