We're a Forró dance group in Edinburgh. We hold regular Forró classes, socials, live music events and workshops with international teachers. Fridays 8PM Beginners Class, followed by open-level social @Boteco do Brasil Wednesdays 8PM Intermediate Class, followed by social @Boteco do Brasil Our community-led Forró group is crazy about dance, music and socialising! Forró is a beautiful Brazilian partner dance. The dance from the north-east of Brazil has become hugely popular across Europe due to its beautiful music and social spirit. We are a highly diverse and international group united by an interest in dance and Brazilian culture. As a group we organise regular classes, workshops and socials. We do this as a not-for-profit group and re-invest any gains from classes back into the group, e.g. in the form of workshops.

For Tibetan Language teaching, the OCBS is pleased to endorse easytibetan.org. Presented by the allied CIC Tib-Shelf and Loplao, this is a unique chance to experience Tibetan culture through its language. They offer intensive courses in Tibetan Language together with evening classes focussing on Tibetan Buddhism, culture, and history. The courses are at two levels, elementary and lower intermediate. There are two long term winter classes: A beginner’s class which takes place on Sunday evening between 6 and 7:30 pm BTS, and an intermediate class that takes place on Wednesday evening between 7 and 8:30 pm BST. To read more about them, please click the link below. easytibetan.org MPhil In Buddhist Studies This two-year degree aims to give comprehensive training in one of the main Buddhist canonical languages, namely Sanskrit, Classical Tibetan and Classical Chinese. In-depth explorations of Buddhist history, philosophy, and literature will be the focus, along with a comprehensive study of important Buddhist texts in the original language. Situated on the edge of Nottingham - Chalfield Dog Training Club trains dogs to obedience competition level, or just to behave correctly in the community. Kennel Club registered, the club brings its experience to both the public street, and the show ring, training for excellence in obedience shows, companion shows, and acceptable behavior in all walks of life. The Club meets Tuesday Evenings 6.45pm - 7.50pm Beginners Course, 8.00 - 9.00pm Intermediate Class, 9.00 - 10.00pm Advanced Class. Beginners Categories :- The aim of beginners classes is to teach owners to train their dogs basic obedience to a standard, not only acceptable to the owners, but also acceptable to the community regarding safety and control. Commands taught include walking to heel, sit and down stays and recalling dogs on command. Puppies taught in the beginners class are given these basics and Kennel Club Puppy Foundation assesment award Advanced Categories:- These classes are for owners whose dogs have progressed from the Beginners stage and wish to achieve Bronze, Silver, and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizens Awards and/or reach higher standards of obedience, including entering obedience shows. Commands used at these higher levels will be progressively taught for detailed exercises which include advanced heelwork, retrieve, send away, scent, advanced stays and advanced control work.
