Our Yoga adheres completely to the principles of alignment and is
biomechanically sound. So it takes us towards health and not away from it. It is
not about performance! We adapt postures to suit our own structure and only put
movements through our bodies that we have evolved to do as human beings. We work
on function, not structure because the body organises itself with "whole
movement patterns", not with working a particular muscle. We learn to notice
better how we feel and this informs our movement. We notice unhelpful things we
do that cause us pain and discomfort. We free up the respiratory system. So we
become more at ease with ourselves, and we start to change physically and
emotionally in our approach to the world around us! Powerful stuff! I keep my
classes small, so students get the attention they need. This means I can Zoom
and teach live at the same time. I encourage dialogue and exploration.
