We maintain smaller than average class sizes to maximise support for students. As a result, our Progress 8 score is consistently above the national average. Consequently, our students, regardless of their starting points, make good progress at Newman.
VAC has been supporting the Calderdale Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) since 2000. Known for continuously developing and delivering needs led services and projects, VAC is a strong, recognised name within the local VCS landscape. Over the past 5 years, VAC began expanding and offering its services to different areas of the UK including organisational support and its quality assurance system Quality For Health & Wellbeing. Since it became constituted as a Company Limited by Guarantee, VAC is formally a membership organisation. Our members hold us accountable to ensure we support the VCS effectively and responsively.
75 years ago, Roosevelt University was born when a visionary leader and 62 faculty members had the guts to go against the norms of exclusion in favor of inclusion. They went against the discriminatory practices of higher education in 1945. As parents ourselves we understand the need to be sure that our children are safe, well looked after and enjoying themselves to give us the peace of mind we need while we are at work or college. Boni Kidz aim to provide a reliable and consistent service in a happy, secure and stimulating environment for our children. We include a range of stimulating activities and encourage the children to choose for themselves what they want to do at each session with the support of our practitioners if needed. Our activities are carefully designed to ensure that all children have equal opportunity to participate in any activities regardless of their age or ability.
Creative Learning Academy was founded in 1972 by Mary Lee Porter-Hanson. She was determined to create a happy place where every child was free and happy to learn through discovery. She wanted it to be a school where when children left at the end of the day, they couldn’t wait to return in the morning. Today, nearly five decades later, CLA is still that kind of school. We challenge students and expect them to challenge themselves, but we do so in an environment that is nurturing, supportive, and reflective of our belief that learning at its best is a joyful process.
