Ilmburst

ilmburst

London

At ilmburst, we are very excited about launching this project. Excited, because we are passionate about nurturing our children from a young age, nurturing in them a love for their religion and nurturing their spiritual development. The idea for ilmburst began when we found that many of us as parents don’t have the confidence to teach our children their religion. This is due to a variety of reasons. Some of us feel we don’t have the knowledge and ability, others among us don’t have the time to research and prepare the material needed to teach our children and yet others are afraid that they may teach something incorrectly or use inauthentic material. We aim to help change that, in sha Allah. We should all be able to help teach our children in an engaging and fun way. What better way to bond with your children than doing something which is pleasing to Allah? Using the individual skills and talents of our team we have brought together people qualified in Islamic studies, education and teaching experience to create a wide variety of resources across a wide breadth of subjects, which are then designed using professional design software to ensure high quality. Our vision is to help nurture a generation of Muslims who are proud and confident of their Islam, and who then use this confidence to excel academically, into their chosen career paths and be role models within their communities. We ask Allah, the Most High, to grant us all success as parents and teachers, and that He blesses our children and makes them a source of happiness and joy for us in this world and the next.

THRE - Third Sector Human Rights & Equalities

thre - third sector human rights & equalities

THRE – Third Sector Human Rights and Equalities, is a nationwide project led by GCVS in partnership with HTSI and EVOC The project is working with Scotland’s Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs) to develop resources, training and networks to support third sector organisations towards taking a human rights and equalities first approach to their organisational development and delivery. THRE will also be working to give organisations and individuals the skills to become human rights and equalities champions, allowing the sector as a whole to better challenge inequalities and make a positive difference. THRE aims to act as a bridge connecting Scotland’s innovative and thriving third sector to the country’s existing internationally recognised human rights and equalities sector and help to deliver the Scottish Government’s vision for a Scotland that is inclusive, free from discrimination, and where the human rights of everyone are respected, protected, and fulfilled. Staff are based in Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands to work with their local TSIs to give the project national reach combined with a local understanding of the needs of the third sector across Scotland. THRE is funded by The Scottish Government Equality and Human Rights Fund which is managed by Inspiring Scotland. Fontys University of Applied Sciences

Education and research are equivalent activities at Fontys. For example, they are closely linked within each study programme. Even stronger: education and research regularly flow seamlessly into one another, for example in our authentic and hybrid learning and research environments, on our campuses or close to (or even at) the future workplace. Here, students, teachers, researchers and professionals literally come together to learn and do research. Principles of education Fontys has more than one hundred different study programmes: from dance to accountancy, and from architecture to physiotherapy. Each study programme has its own unique professional context, its own curriculum, and its own way of providing education. We believe that this diversity is a major strength. No one knows better how a profession should be taught than the professionals who work with us. At the same time, frameworks are needed within which programmes can make their own choices. We have laid down these frameworks in five 'principles of learning'. We challenge students to discover and optimally develop their talents. Learning takes place as much as possible in an authentic learning environment (i.e. a situation that 'resembles' the student’s future work environment). Learning means acquiring knowledge and skills as well as exploring and experiencing together. We take 'together' literally: we work together with fellow students, teachers, researchers, and professionals working in the field. The student takes ownership of their learning process. In other words: as a student, we give you as much control as possible over what, how and when you learn. This not only means that our students are given a great deal of autonomy and freedom; we also expect them to show a strong sense of responsibility.

Eudaimonia Coaching UK

eudaimonia coaching uk

Hey Eudaimon, Thanks for stopping by, to share with me your precious moments. I will honour them with my truth. The gist is that I am a Purpose & Career Coach and TEDx Speaker. I founded Eudaimonia Coaching UK, with a sole purpose to democratise human flourishing. Through my work, I have inspired more than 10,000 people towards a more fulfilling career. I help people find their professional purpose and empower them to realise their full potential, through 1-2-1 coaching or in a group context. I have spoken in front of 600+ audiences and specialise in creating bespoke career development workshops, for corporate organisations and employees, that have a lasting impact in their lives. But it was not always like that… In 2012, I started waking up to the realisation that the path I have chosen, was not making me either successful or happy (in my own terms, anyway!). I started obsessively looking for a way to redefine my own success model (you can watch my TEDx about the Existential Crisis I have found myself in…). Coaching acted as a catalyst for me to find the courage to tune into my own self-discovery journey. The result? I re-architected my careeer completely. Founding Eudaimonia Coaching puts me in a position to follow my passions, blend my skills to serve the causes I believe in. I consciously invest in my mental and physical wellbeing and my business(es) are now enhancing my life. My raison d’être is to enable you to do the same, FIND your PURPOSE i.e. empowering you to realise your full potential.
