The Sweyne Park School

the sweyne park school

Rayleigh

A warm welcome to the Sweyne Park School, a thriving academy school in Rayleigh, Essex for pupils in age range from 11 to 19. Building character is at the heart of The Sweyne Park School’s ethos along with respect and personal success. These have been the foundations of our approach to providing education through the school’s evolution. Education is about equipping young people for life with skills that will enable happy fulfilled lives. At The Sweyne Park School we aim to achieve this through sharing and modelling behaviours which both build on individual personality and harness positive relationships, so that pupils who choose our school will understand the importance of society and feel able to contribute. As a school we work hard to provide high quality lessons across the entire curriculum incorporating opportunities to participate in active learning, with components fostering individual skills, and others effective group interactions. The curriculum at The Sweyne Park School continues to be broad, including a focus on the traditional arts, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects, reflecting our commitment to value these specialist fields. We give all our pupils a grounding in the basics to help them appreciate the contributions that all subjects make in enriching our lives, whilst also feeding the appetites of those who become passionate in these areas. We are keen to offer a diverse range of activities beyond the classroom with trips, visitors and residential experiences broadening our pupils’ horizons and skills to thrive in all circumstances. We work closely with pupils to encourage their full engagement in their educations, and to see schooling as helpful in providing the means to achieve their aspirations, both personally and for careers.

Multiflex School Sports

Altrincham

ABOUT US Multiflex School Sports was originally started in 1989 by athletics coaches Tom Davies and Ron Newton. The original company name was T & R Sports Development. T & R Sports Development were given financial backing by ICI and later Astra Zeneca to deliver a sporting programme to Primary schools and High Schools to enthuse young children about sport. This programme used high achievers in sport such as Great Britain international athletes and professional Basketball players to deliver a programme that not only developed fitness and skill levels of young children but increased their enjoyment of sport and gave them a route into sports clubs outside of the school environment. Following the success of this programme Multiflex Sports was formed and went on to continue this sporting programme with local authorities and also Sports-hall athletics and Eveque sport and leisure. In 2005 the government introduced P.P.A. (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) to all UK Primary Schools. This meant that all teachers would then be allocated 2 hours a week away from their class timetable to make use of their PPA time effectively. Coincidently 2 hours a week is also the amount of time each child should receive P.E. lessons for so Multiflex altered their business model to provide PPA cover for schools in and around Cheshire. Mark Webb who is the Managing director of Multiflex realised there was an opportunity to provide high quality P.E. lessons in line with the National curriculum guidance on a weekly basis, whilst also providing support for schools and teachers through PPA cover. Multiflex developed a P.E. scheme for Primary schools that covered 6 areas of sport in line with the curriculum. The areas are as follows: Athletics Dance Gymnastics Invasion Games Striking and Fielding Net and Wall

Priory Primary School

Hull

Welcome to Priory Primary School’s website. We are a large primary school situated in the west of the City of Hull. We are part of the Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust along with 6 other primary schools and 2 secondary schools. We are a school which is committed to providing an exciting, challenging, connected curriculum which supports lifelong learning, physical and emotional well-being and encourages all our children to have high aspirations for their future. We work with the whole school community to provide a welcoming, safe and caring environment. Currently we are working hard to reestablish our usual routines in school following the disruption of the pandemic while continuing to ensure that we operate safely and follow our new risk assessments to mitigate the risk of the virus spreading in our school community. If children are unable to be at school at this time because they have tested positive for COVID, but are well enough to work, we offer remote learning through Google Classroom. This is as closely aligned to the classroom curriculum as possible. Children will be offered access to dongles to provide internet access and a device if they do not have this available at home. If a child is entitled to Free School Meals this is also available. Working in partnership with parents is crucial as together we can ensure your child feels safe, valued and happy. We are looking forward to being able to invite parents into school again when it is safe to do so and until that time we are very responsive to emails, to our admin address or the year group email addresses, and telephone calls. We welcome new children to our school. Please call the school if you would like further information.

Welcome to Bramcote Hills Primary School. Our website aims to give an insight into life at our school and we hope you find it useful. We strive to fulfil our school motto ‘Make the Future Better for All’ in all that we do and are incredibly proud of our school and its pupils, who are supported by a dedicated, committed and caring staff team. Since 1961, our small school has steadily grown into a large one of 14 classes located on an attractive and spacious campus with many excellent facilities. The school boasts a rich ethnic mix and we are proud to teach the children to celebrate diversity in all its forms. We promote an age-appropriate awareness of the protected characteristics and encourage the children not to be bystanders but to stand up for what is right. If I had to describe our school in a few words I would say it is a’ hive of activity’; many visitors often comment positively on the range of learning opportunities evident in our school. We encourage all children to take an active part in their learning, through the context of a broad and engaging curriculum. In addition to this, we place a strong emphasis on curriculum enrichment, offering many experiences, clubs, teams and visits to support learning. We want to develop a love of learning, interests and skills which are lifelong. Our website is no substitute for seeing the school in action and we encourage you to come and visit and see BHPS for yourself; you would be most welcome. We are proud to have been at the centre of high quality educational activity in Cambridge since 1871, 150 years and counting. Our school values centre on establishing a strong community based on great relationships. They are summed up in the phrase, ‘Inspiring, Individual, Inclusive.’ INSPIRING We believe that students learn best in an environment which inspires them, high quality facilities in purpose built spaces. Also that student deserve the most inspiring teachers and support staff delivering a world-class curriculum. In this environment, students thrive and, in turn, inspire us. INDIVIDUAL We believe that each student brings their own unique potential and talents to the school. We tailor our curriculum and support to meet the needs of each individual rather than using a ‘best fit’ methodology. Extra-curricular activities are not seen as an optional extra but as an expected part of a student’s discovery of themselves. Complementing this, all students build a portfolio of their achievements in and out of school through their years at Netherhall; this takes the form of their Pride Pledge which in accessible on our ALIS intranet site. INCLUSIVE Netherhall is a school where all students and staff are valued, enjoy an atmosphere of tolerance and respect, growing together as a school family. We believe that the synergy of these three factors make a successful school and we continue to work with all stakeholders to produce students with: excellent academic outcomes; empathy and tolerance of each other, their faiths and backgrounds; excellent skills of communication; teamwork; and who have the self-motivation and resilience needed to be successful in the outside world.
