Yoga has helped to steady me over the past 25+ years. It has improved my sleep and overall sense of wellbeing. These are the kind of benefits I hope to share with you as you practise. I am a 500hr qualified Yoga Teacher, registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals. I have a particular interest in Mental Health and Wellbeing, which led me to complete a training in Yoga Therapy for Anxiety, gain certificates in Level 2 & 3 Counselling Skills and I am currently doing a course in 'Body listening' (body psychotherapy). I am also a dedicated mum of two. All of these experiences feed into my Yoga and meditation classes.

Northern Guiding is led by Mark Killala who has walked throughout the UK. My favourite adventures are in the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District - in particular, Lake District Walking. I have I’ve completed numerous long distance paths such as the Coast to Coast and the Pennine Way. I am very experienced in outdoor adventures. I’ve been keen on the outdoors since childhood and this passion led me to complete the Mountain Leader Training course in Wales in 2011 then the Mountain Leader Assessment course in 2012 which took place in the Lakes/Dales.

We at Dragon Adventures are devastated that so many outdoor centres, Scout activity centres and Girlguiding activity centres have been forced to close or have stopped offering instructed activities, permanently or temporarily. So we'd like to help and have taken our expertise in delivering in house activities from Problem Solving for Schools and modified it for uniform groups. We can offer activities for fun and to fulfil that vital last criteria to complete a badge. DeWolf Bushcraft has been created to provide a woodland retreat for Emergency Services workers and NHS staff dealing with the moral injuries and strains of work and home life. Tucked away in the Lake District, it is a sanctuary for those looking to use woodland, mountains and nature as a place to connect, adjust and heal. Originally a Paramedic in the London Ambulance Service, I eventually relocated to the Lake District after having to deal with my own moral injuries and burn-out. Reconnecting with nature and the mountains has enabled me to heal and build strength again. As such, I wish to share these opportunities with others and offer an invitation and a welcome to all who could benefit from time in the outdoors. To add to this, I have spent over fifteen years honing my Bushcraft and primitive skills. Nowadays, I work as a Paramedic Practitioner in Primary as well as a Bank paramedic for the Northwest Ambulance Service. I am a member of Kendal Mountain Rescue Team and when I have the opportunity I work as a medic supporting a wide variety of events.

We build partnerships across sectors so that we can share resources and expertise to secure the best possible outcomes for young people and their communities in Buckinghamshire and beyond. Empowering We listen and engage with our young people to give them a voice in developing our work and agenda. Our Youth Board and groups have a fundamental role in ensuring our programmes meet the needs of young participants across a wide spectrum of differing backgrounds including young people from the most deprived areas of society, those with disabilities and additional needs, and those who need support and inspiration to reach their goals and surpass limitations. Everything we do engages the rising generation of our community to work together in helping not only themselves but each other. For us it’s about inspiring young people to become Inspiring Young People. What we do As a charity, we rely on the generosity of grant-giving organisations and individuals to enable us to deliver the following: Policy and Change We are leaders within the youth sector and we are actively engaged with local government, the police, and other stakeholders to shape policy across Bucks. Our annual conference is a crucial opportunity for key representatives from the wider charity and statutory sectors to come together to discuss and share ideas on how we can make an impact on the lives of young people. Intervention and Inspiration We deliver a wide range of programmes including holistic support for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, employability and enrichment programmes such as The Inspiration Programme, leadership and life skills initiatives, as well as delivering national programmes such as National Citizen Service and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Many participants are signposted to other Action4Youth programmes on a pathway to opportunities they did not believe were possible through disadvantage or disability. Leadership and Training We provide valuable leadership and training to our membership organisations: around 70 local voluntary youth groups so that they can operate effectively to safeguard the young people of their communities. Courses include safeguarding, diversity and inclusion, health and safety and others. Outdoor Learning Additionally, we operate an outstanding outdoor learning centre, Caldecotte Xperience, in Milton Keynes which offers a range of adventure learning activities that deliver measurable improvements in educational attainment, as well as building teamwork, bonding and trust. It is the leading centre in the region for young people with complex needs, with SEND trained staff and specialist equipment that enable those with disabilities to learn new skills in a safe and supportive environment.

The mission of the Countryside Learning is a simple one. It is to educate, inform and inspire children, parents and teachers, so that they can enjoy and appreciate the countryside while having a greater understanding of the wide range of issues surrounding it. We are a national registered charity (327091) formed in 1986. Countryside Learning is focused on providing a variety of educational opportunities designed to connect children with the countryside in a fun and practical way. We hope to nuture a lifelong interest in loving, respecting and learning about the environment. Research shows that learning in the outdoors can bring massive benefits to a child’s confidence, understanding and engagement, together with benefits to their mental and physical wellbeing. We collaborate with several organisations, that seek to promote outdoor learning. Our Countryside Live events provide an opportunity for organisations to come together to engage children with food, farming and natural environment activities. We are member of the Countryside Classroom consortium and are able to exchange knowledge and expertise with other members. The CC website is a great source for resources for our teachers to use back at school. We reach up to 20,000 children per year with our programme of events and the members of our Farms for Schools programme reach a further 300,000 children. . Our events range from visits for a single class right up to an event that caters for up to 4,000 inner city children, when we bring the countryside to them.

woodland adventure club

The Woodland Adventure Club provides a range of after school and holiday clubs for children of all ages. Sessions are based on Forest School and provide a safe and stimulating outdoor experience for children. At the Woodland Adventure Club, children have the opportunity to learn and express themselves in the way that best suits their style and personality. A range of tools, equipment and activities are provided, but children are encouraged to choose their own activities and do what they want to do and what they feel comfortable with.
