the brakenhale school
Brakenhale is an 11–19 mixed comprehensive school situated on the southern side
of Bracknell. The majority of our students are local, coming from a number of
different housing estates and we enjoy positive links with primary schools in
the area. Brakenhale opened in 1958, and was known at that time as Borough Green
City Secondary School. The school records show that the initial school roll, on
7th January 1958, was 266. The oldest of these students was born in September
1942, and the youngest in July 1946.
