I'm a choir leader, composer and singer based in Bristol, UK. Having performed as a singer-songwriter  [https://rosiesingssomesongs.bandcamp.com/]for over 20 years, I understand the power of music to connect people and evoke emotion. I pour the same passion into my work as a choir leader and, more recently, as a composer for choirs.  I run workshops in Bristol and all over the UK. I'm very excited to be running a brand new series of 2024 workshops which I've named 'Saturday Sings'. In each of these workshops, I will share the teaching with a fantastic guest composer, and we will take it in turns to sing our own SATB choir songs. The composers joining me are, in date order, Helen Chadwick, Katy Rose Bennett, Anna Tabbush, Emily Roblyn, Ben See and Helen Yeomans.  I love hearing my music come to life through the voices of others. As a member of the Natural Voice Network [https://www.naturalvoice.net/our-members/member-profile/?profile=427], I welcome every voice to my choirs and workshops. I teach by ear, and there is no need for prior experience or to read music. Hello and welcome. My name is Jacqueline Rolls and I am an artist/sculptor who creates using willow and other natural materials. Being a self-taught artist with experience gained over many years. I create work using a variety of different techniques, many of which I have discovered myself. My creations are created with materials that I have either grown myself, purchased from other growers, gathered or salvaged myself. There is something quite special about working with a material that was once a living thing, the desire to connect and work with the materials that I use often feels as if I am breathing new life into my creations. Working in this way is akin to drawing and painting in many ways, layering, shaping, constraining and feeling free to express me to make mistakes and new discoveries. I sometimes incorporate other materials into my work including metal when it is needed e.g for bird legs or to give it strength for a public artwork that needs to be secured or needs additional strength. I also love sharing my passion for creating with others and so as well as creating work to sell I also provide my own range of workshops which are available via my workshop page I also work with many different organisations providing activities for public art /community engagement projects as well as providing private and bespoke activities for more details look at the relevant pages in the menu above.

We started our life as Mitchell Walk Playgroup. In June 2014 we became Holding Hands Pre-School and moved into our current setting. We gained our third consecutive outstanding OfSted rating in March 2018. We pride on ourselves in welcoming all children and families no matter what their ability, background and beliefs.
