is to create uplifting and inspiring art. Paintings or sculptures that radiate light, positive vibration or take a viewer on their inner explorational journey. I am also very passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping and encouraging others on their own creative journey. My Artistic Journey While ago I received a very sweet message from a person who I met for the first time during my London exhibition in 2008. This is what she wrote: Hi Marie, I just wanted to tell you that your gift is incredible and I adore your intuitive art! Your art pieces have truly been an inspiration to my writing ever since I visited your exhibition in October 2008. 'Bonded Souls' in particular has been very close to my heart and I have printed it and keep it with me always to encourage me to keep writing. Don't stop painting! Your work is a blessing for others. Lisa P.S. I wish you had an exhibition in Australia I had lots of positive feedback from people who saw my art or bought my art prior to this message. However this message was somehow special to me. First of all I received it out of the blue, completely unexpected. It’s flattering and encouraging at the same time but most importantly it reinforced me to start thinking more in depth about the purpose of my art. My paintings always had a spiritual content and feeling. The colours resonated with our chakras/energy centres and my airbrush technique skills always helped my paintings to look very soft and dreamy but I wasn’t sure what the purpose of my art is. I realised that only few years back. The purpose is to Inspire, Uplift and Elevate. Once I realised that and mainly started to create art that does that, I somehow changed and started to call myself an artist. I realised that my art can make a difference.

Little Music Stars

Whitstable

LITTLE MUSIC STARS is a collaboration with close friend Jeanne Friedman and was born after they realized that they could offer something different to the ‘old fashioned’ pre school music programs that are out there today. Katie wanted to inject new life into traditional children’s songs whilst also writing new songs that make the LITTLE MUSIC STARS program stand out as being modern, memorable and easy to learn. She has really enjoyed devising the new program along with the song writing process. The original songs for LITTLE MUSIC STARS incorporate many different music genres throughout the curriculum. Katie’s classes have a strong emphasis on the children’s imagination through song and dance as well as making it relaxed and fun! Katie enjoyed a very successful musical theatre career in London’s West End along with tours across Great Britain and internationally for 25 years. She appeared as Mavis and Vera on several occasions in ‘Stepping Out’ the comedy play, in London’s west end in 2017. She lived in Los Angeles in 2011 with her son Samuel for 3 years where she developed and taught the curriculum and even teaching Sandra Bulloch and her son on a few occasions! In 2014 she returned back to the UK and started the LMS program here and selling her first franchise in 2018. LMS now has over 200 children coming to classes each week, is present at 6 pre schools and has been part of many many kids parties over the years. Little Music Stars is set for world domination in the next few years...watch out everybody!!

The Small Business Academy

Helping small and start-up businessesOur Founder Nikki started her business at the age of 23, in her final year of university. She hit upon an unmet demand for clothing and lingerie to fit bigger busted girls. She had no prior textile or business experience, but knew there was a market for the product. With almost no cash, she set out to launch her start-up business but hit multiple challenges along the way – not understanding how to promote her business online, how to generate sales, run online ads or manage her own SEO, and no budget to pay someone for help, she had no choice but to figure it out through a matrix of failed experiments, free online information and training workshops where they were affordable (and not many were!) Eventually, one sale became two, and two became ten, and within a couple of years the business took off – by 2010 Nikki had been awarded the Natwest Everywoman Artemis Business Award and in 2011 appeared on Dragons Den, securing private investment of £250,000 after the show had aired. This enabled her to scale her brand, re-shore production to the UK and eventually culminated in running a factory in Preston with over a dozen machinists, and supplying her brand to the high street. But her frustration remained around the lack of practical help and support for startup business owners. Training courses seldom left her with any usable information to implement – they would talk about the benefits of Facebook marketing, or SEO, or Social Media but never gave enough information to actually go and do it yourself.
