Hello and welcome to Arkay Driving School. I am an independent driving
instructor and I have been teaching for over 15 years. During that period I have
developed a lot of methods and techniques that make learning to drive easy,
because that is what it should be. Initially, I will guide you during the
lessons, but as you get more familiar with driving, you will be given the
opportunity to drive by yourself with less input from me. Advice will be given
when it is needed, which in my experience helps the learning process go a lot
more smoothly. The DVSA states that it takes around 45 hours for someone to sit
a practical driving test. I am proud to say that most of my pupils are ready to
do the test at around 35 hours and with a very good chance of passing at the
first attempt. Still unsure? Why not try us out? Why not do a trial lesson of
1.5/2 hours to get first hand experience of my teaching and then decide, with no
