The Food Hygiene Regulations 2006 are considered to be the most important food safety and hygiene regulations in the UK. It is estimated that more than 1.2 million people in the UK are living with a learning disability. Healthcare and social care workers must have an adequate understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities. It is also essential that they listen to the needs, hopes and aspirations of those living with learning disabilities, their careers, friends, and families. An improved knowledge, together with current guidance and best practice recommendations help to improve the care provided to people who have learning disabilities.

This course is over one full day. In the morning we will look in detail at tackling number skills beyond 10: ¨ Rote counting in 10s, 5s, 2s, teens and counting through decades up to 100 ¨ Recognising 2 and 3 digit numbers, place value and order ¨ Counting to find how many – beyond 10 ¨ Adding up and taking away – methods to succeed ¨ Fractions, multiplication, division and using calculators

This comprehensive course, developed in line with the esteemed guidelines of the Resuscitation Council (UK), Skills for Health, and the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (RCS Ed), is designed to enhance your abilities in delivering superior emergency care across various settings.

This course is delivered over two 2 hour sessions. The first session covers why we use signing with children with Down syndrome and the signs for manners, animals, food, family and other people, and the alphabet. The second session covers signs for the home, school day, colours, descriptions, time/days, questions and connective/link words. Followed by a discussion on how behaviour can be addressed through introducing signing.

The Private Pilots Licence (PPL) course at Aerohire combines both practical flight training and the theoretical knowledge required to fly light aircraft within the UK and Europe. The course requires a minimum of 45 hours flying time – including ten hours solo – ending with a skills test with an examiner. The skills test will examine your general handling and navigation skills. In real terms most pilots will require between 50-60 hours of training – Aerohire are open and honest and unlike other schools we believe in being transparrent.
