The one day stone carving class enables the general public to experience the art of hand carving stone. The class is designed for the beginner and every one will take home a hand carved Yorkshire rose. This class is held in a well-equipped workshop.

Our workshop packages are perfect for groups looking for an alternative activity to take part in as part of a corporate event, team building exercise, stag or hen do, birthday party, Christmas party or any other occasion you’d like to embellish with a unique creative spin.  Below is a list of ‘off the shelf’ workshops and packages we currently offer however each of these can be customised to suit your needs. Assessment and Planning: Survey the area where you want to install CCTV cameras. Identify key areas that need surveillance such as entry points, blind spots, and valuable assets. Determine the number of cameras needed and their types (e.g., dome, bullet, PTZ) based on the coverage required and environmental conditions. Plan the placement of cameras considering factors like lighting conditions, obstructions, and the angle of view required. Selecting Equipment: Choose high-quality CCTV cameras and other necessary equipment such as DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) or NVRs (Network Video Recorders), cables, connectors, power supplies, and storage devices. Ensure compatibility between cameras and recording devices. Consider features like resolution, night vision capability, and weather resistance. Mounting Cameras: Install cameras at the planned locations using appropriate mounting brackets or housings. Ensure cameras are securely fixed to prevent tampering or theft. Adjust the angle and direction of each camera to cover the desired area effectively. Running Cables: Plan the route for cables connecting cameras to the recording device. The Moving &Handling Course is a full day course to ensure that care workers are competent and confident to carry out their duties to the standards expected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) when Moving & Handling People. The course is a mixture of theory and practical elements, using various forms of equipment used in the community. Training Aim: To equip learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively move and handle individuals, minimising the risk of injury to both the care giver and the person being moved, whilst promoting dignity and comfort for the individual. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the session, learners will be able to: Discuss the legal responsibilities, procedures and duty of care when moving and handling individuals Demonstrate abilities when using equipment in line with individual handling plans Explain and understand biomechanical principles Discuss and demonstrate safer moving and handling principles and techniques Identify and demonstrate the safe use of moving and handling equipment Demonstrate abilities to risk assess and carry out POSRA Recognise unsafe practice and the implementing of safer practices Instructions Please can learners ensure they wear trousers and a full shoe. The QA Level 2 Award in Principles and Practice of Moving People Safely (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves assisting and moving people.  This 1 day course provides candidates with a clear understanding of the principles of moving people safely and includes the opportunity to practise and apply these principles in a variety of situations; individually, in a team, and with the assistance of equipment.  Candidates will leave the course with the knowledge and skills required to move people safely whilst ensuring that the risk of personal harm is reduced and that health and dignity are retained.
