Lisa is based in the Scottish Highlands and creates spaces to connect to body and land through breathwork, nature awareness, cold water therapy and ancestral skills and crafts. With 'Wild Breath' she offers workshops & retreats and facilitates experiences to connect to your inner nature, integrate the mind back into the body, craft with hands and heart, remember ancestral wisdom for modern times and come fully alive in your animal body. Lisa is a qualified breathwork instructor, trained as an outdoor educator, woodland activity guide and is currently working as part-time hide tanner for a traditional Scottish tannery. She is passionate about rewilding the inner landscape and ‘Wild Wellness’- where wilderness &ancestral skills and health & wellbeing meet, and she loves to integrate wellbeing modalities such as breathwork and meditation into wild spaces. Her offerings emerged from her own healing journey of working in a stressful academic environment. After a burn-out she took a deep dive into wellbeing modalities and dedicated herself to learn what it means to live close to the earth and in alignment with our bodies, minds and heart. It is her joy and honour to create transformative spaces for others and to explore how we can tend to our roots and what we need to fully thrive as humans. Lisa's facilitation style is directly inspired by nature and she works in a way that provides guidance, tools and a witnessing presence for people to tap into their innate wisdom, power inside of themselves and into the healing ability of their bodies. With practical tools and a deeper understanding of our biology and what we need to thrive, everyone has the ability to thrive and rewild their inner landscape! Experiences Lisa has a BA in Environmental Philosophy and an MSc from Edinburgh University in Outdoor and Environmental Education with her masters research focussing on the Wim Hof method and eco-somatic embodiment as a form of environmental education. She is a qualified Breathwork Coach& Facilitator with Infinite Breath and member of the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF). She is also qualified as BREATHE instructor, trained by Dr. Belisa Vranich, specializing in functional breathing, breath biomechanics and psychology of the breath. As a trained woodland activity leader, she is qualified through WALT (Woodland Activity Leader Training) and also has a valid outdoor first aid qualification. As a primitive skills practitioner she has been on an off grid wilderness immersion in Norway with Lynx Vilden to learn ancestral skills& primitive living and has since then taught at ancestral skills gatherings in Scotland and assisted Lynx at some of her courses in Norway. She is furthermore currently working as a part-time hide tanner for a traditional Scottish Tannery. She strives to embody everything she teaches in her daily life and is continuously learning from the greatest teachers of all- nature inside and outside of us, our own body, the land, plants and animals.

Glenbervie Kindergarden and GX out of school club is a family run business which helps to provide the best start in life for children, in a homely like environment which promotes emotional wellbeing and togetherness. Children are at the heart of what we do and parents and families involvement are of the upmost importance. Glenbervie Kindergarden has been established for and providing care to children from birth to primary seven for almost 20 years. Each of our settings are unique and all offer the same high quality of care and education that our parents expect. The settings have all been refurbished quite recently to a bright, modern standard and all facilities are well resourced. Within our settings we offer a child centered approach, we encourage the children to be involved in their own learning and their achievements celebrated. Our staff create happy, caring and stimulating environments in which each child can develop, build confidence and can become more independant in their own right. For our younger children we have a range of baby and toddler rooms, designed to nurture and support the development of each individual child. For our older children in the Explorer rooms, we offer a breadth of learning experiences, where our skilled staff are confident in enhancing and deepening the child's learning. Our out of school Clubs offer fun, stimulating environments where children can socialise, play and relax before or after a busy day at school. Our nurseries and out of school facilities put a strong emphasis on learning outdoors and all settings have their own outdoor areas to support and extend your child's learning and exploration. Adventures outwith the gardens include visits such as, the local park, the library, garden centre or other landmarks, this helps to build the child's sense of connection with the local community. Our staff team have a wealth of experience and qualifications and are all registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and have up to date PVG checks. To ensure staff are well equipped to support the children's learning and development, staff undergo continuous professional development. A high percentage of our staff team are first aid trained, with us working towards all staff being trained in this. As well as our own staff we work closely with other professionals such as health visitor, social work, speech and language, educational psychologist and other various agencies. Within our settings we promote healthy eating, our snacks are varied and interesting and lunches can be provided by an outside catering company, who follow the current 'Setting the table' guidance. Parents also have the option to provide their own child's lunch. We are in Partnership with Falkirk Council and can provide up to 1140 funded hours for eligible children. Tickly Paws Pet Care is owned and run by myself Gillian Salmon. I have spent the last 20 years studying and working with animals. I have extensive knowledge of your pets needs with a genuine love for all animals. I starting volunteering with the Dogs Trust when I was fifteen and it was here my passion for animals was set alight. I decided to study at Oatridge Agricultural College to gain practical experience working with livestock, horses, small animals, and reptiles. After graduating from college I went on to attend Edinburgh Napier University, where I studied Animal Biology as I wanted to widen my knowledge. I spent three wonderful years studying all aspects of animals from husbandry to behavior and everything in between. Whilst still studying I got a part-time job at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home and after graduating from University, I started working full time. I loved every minute of my time working there and before I knew it had been eight whole years. While working at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, I gained a keen eye for identifying health issues from my numerous interactions with the associated Veterinarian practice. I have taken hundreds of animals to the vet for a variety of reasons, some major and some minor, keeping a calm head when this need may arise. As a result of these visits, I have developed an extensive knowledge of many medical issues. I also became a master at administering medication even to the most difficult customers. I worked with dogs and cats when they first came into the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, upon arrival, they were usually frightened, shut down, and sometimes aggressive. However, with time, patience, and love I helped many of them blossom into beautiful loving animals waiting for their second chance. I would cry tears of joy when one of them found their forever home. I fostered kittens with cat flu, cats with allergies, kidney & liver disease, and dogs with trust and behavioral issues. One of the greatest things I have ever done is to foster a diabetic dog called Hondo who came to stay over Christmas and ended up staying forever. I currently own an Akita cross called Rogue whom I re-homed from the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home. She is reactive to dogs and people, it was trying to understand her that sent me on my dog training journey. She has taught me so much and I wouldn't be the trainer I am today without her. I relocated to Gateshead in 2015 and got a job at a Mypetstop, a private boarding kennel based in Washington. I was hired as the kennel supervisor. After two years I became the Centre Manager and enjoyed this new job role and the challenges it brought. However, I missed working with animals and being active. As my role involved managing people I had very little interaction with the pets we boarded and felt I had diverted from my true calling. I took the plunge and left to start my own business and this is how Tickly Paws Pet Care was formed.
