Nottingham

The National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC) was founded in Nottingham in 1991 with the establishment of the first Child Contact Centre. It is a registered charity, and an umbrella organisation which sets the National Standards to which Child Contact Centres must work. Child Contact Centres are neutral places where children of separated families can enjoy contact with non-resident parents and sometimes other family members, in a comfortable and safe environment. Every year, this national organisation via its member centres, support families and children in their local community. There are accredited member centres throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. They are operated by a variety of independent organisations that form the membership of NACCC. NACCC is unique in the service it provides for local Contact Centres. Many of our members, provide ‘Supported Contact’ They are predominantly open on alternate Saturdays. These centres are only suitable for families that are deemed to present minimal risk of violence or abuse. In some cases, a higher level of supervision is needed because a child or parent is at risk of harm. These are ‘Supervised Contact Centres‘ and are used in these situations, but also can be used to reintroduce a child to a parent where there has been a substantial gap in contact. NACCC has an accreditation process which ensures members meet national standards. An assessor visits every three years to ensure that the centres comply with DBS checks, health and safety legislation, that HR practices are carried out appropriate, their financial situation, their operating procedures are in accordance with the standards, and safeguarding procedures are in place. The assessor then submits a report to NACCC. If the centre does not comply with all areas, an action plan is issued which is time limited. NACCC also delivers high quality training and support to ensure members are well equipped and knowledgeable. In addition, there is a helpline which centres, and parents can ring for advice and guidance, and a safeguarding helpline in the event of an issue arising at the centre.

Romford

If you want to get stronger, more flexible, learn some cool new tricks and become part of an amazing gymnastics community, then you've come to the right place. Jaybee was established 18 years ago by Julie Ewenson who had always had an interest in gymnastics. With her 2 daughters training at elite level Julie decided to begin to build a club and a gym family for recreational gymnasts. Her aim was to get more children involved in fun gymnastics. She began in a small hall with 3 classes a week,. 18 years later Jaybee are one of the most successful clubs in the area with an incredibly strong elite team, 10 floor and vault squads, 4 pre-school classes and almost 20 recreational sessions throughout the week. We offer before and after school clubs to many of the schools within the borough of Havering which have been going for well over 20 years! At Jaybee we offer 1 hour recreational classes throughout the week and over the weekend where gymnasts are able to learn skills on apparatus such as floor, vault, bars, beam and trampette. We are also lucky enough to have an air track at both venues where all of our gymnasts get to bounce and learn to tumble. Our gymnasts are invited to take part in our annual in-house competition which is always fun, friendly, well organised and encourages light hearted competition. At Jaybee we pride ourselves on a friendly and fun environment for our gymnasts. If you would like to begin your gymnastics journey then feel free to get in touch and we can assist you in finding the perfect class for you.

Gateros Plating

We are a small‚ family run company with a passion for electroplating‚ electroforming, metal finishing and providing a great service‚ not only to our own customers but anyone who needs help or advice. Gateros Plating started‚ as most things do‚ as a hobby. We have been restoring motorbikes for a long time‚ during our restorations‚ most of our metal parts had been sent to industrial platers. We found that there was a large gap between the price of the service and the quality of finished part we received. This is because‚ unfortunately‚ our parts were one of thousands rushed through a large‚ busy‚ impersonal company. After some research and testing we put together our first electroplating system. The results were great and the price was low! Having excess chemicals and the ease of plating at home lead us to the idea of supplying kits to everyone else. We have grown along with our company and feel we can supply not only comprehensive kits that give excellent results but quality advice too. Our kits and products are based on the same principles and chemicals as industrial plating systems. We are therefore confident that‚ if you follow the instructions with care and attention‚ the results from our kits will be of a very high standard. Our tank plating kits are ideal for almost all objects and can give a wide range of finishes. They are capable of plating onto various metals including steel, iron, brass, copper and more. If you would like to plate onto aluminium and it’s alloys, check out the GP Allyseal Zincate for further information. There are two sides to electroplating‚ the scientific side and the practical side. Both can seem overwhelming and complicated if you are not familiar with the concepts‚ processes and if you are completely new to covering things with shiny metal. That is why we have decided to start offering electroplating lessons. They will cover the breadth of knowledge needed to get you plating confidently and effectively. We will start with a little about the fundamental scientific basics of plating followed by a complete practical overview of the process‚ covering the importance of cleaning‚ setting up your tank and things to watch out for‚ mixing chemicals and wiring the electronics‚ the plating process‚ and finally what to do afterwards.

Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC™) is an innovative and powerful coaching model based on Relationship Systems Intelligence (RSI™). A ‘relationship system’ is any interdependent group of people, sharing a common identity or function. We are all part of many different systems. In our organisations, our teams, our families, our intimate relationships and the wider society. Everything is interconnected. If something changes in one area of a system, it will have effects in places that often we won’t expect. ORSC is a methodology that combines ‘systems thinking’ with coaching. By becoming an ORSC practitioner, you will become aware of your own impact on the bigger picture and be able to consciously design your relationships. You will learn an invaluable set of tools to coach others to do the same. The Five Modules of ORSC All ORSC journeys begin with either the Fundamentals or ORS@Work module. Both introductory courses are based on the same set of skills and principles. Fundamentals is geared more toward personal coaching, therapy, or social work applications. ORS@Work is designed specifically with HR, OD, LD, business coaching or consulting in mind. Fundamentals or ORS@Work— teaches five key ORSC tools, including how to coach the Third Entity. Intelligence— provides a robust toolkit for increasing emotional resilience in the face of change. Geography — explores how to recognise and nurture the structures of relationships. Path — explores how to create a shared vision and a strategic plan for achieving it. Systems Integration— brings all the pieces together and provides a learning space to hone skills to work towards mastery. The subsequent four courses in the series must be studied in sequential order, as content layers and builds with each module. On completion of the five modules, students may choose to pursue ORSC certification. Whatever work we do, we are always in relationship. Through ORSC training we learn the concepts, skills and tools to be more effective with others. A ‘relationship system’ is any interdependent group of people, sharing a common identity or function. Psychologists might refer to a ‘collective consciousness’. Business consultants might talk about a ‘corporate culture’. Therapists would likely address ‘family dynamics’. All are ways of referring to what we call the Third Entity.

Colchester

Described by Essex County Council as a  "A sustainable role model business!" Our story....When Sarah & Simon met in 2007, Sarah had just renovated her home and Simon had no idea what change of direction was coming his way! A few years on, after the birth of their son, they both recognised that they had more in common than just love!  Their passion for creatively ReUsing everyday items became fun and constant ReThinking anything from a shells to furniture to their most recent project an Upfurbished Lodge ReTreat in Suffolk. With Interior Design experience Sarah started to incorporate ReUsing in her schemes, recognising a “gem” that needed some ReLoving and clients started to offer her pieces to upcycle. Not long after she had her first furniture sale and commissions followed!  And so ReVamp Boutique was born! With basic carpentry skills from school Simon started to adapt some of the pieces under Sarah’s design eye and soon Simon took an interest in the upholstery side making this a formidable creative team. Sarah’s passion is to share some ReVamp secrets, and returning to her teaching experience she  gleaned at a local college, she now runs creative ReUse workshops which are not just sustainable but fun, sociable, excellent for your well being and the best gifts for family, friends and loved ones! The business has now undertaken many commissions, with Simon now an accomplished upholsterer and Sarah a furniture artist seen at Grand Designs and Westfield Stratford & London. The couple now have premises to run their workshops, take commissions and sell their statement furniture as well as their Retreat, the complete ReVamp experience, available for booking now.
