RHACC is one of nine institutes of adult learning (IAL) in the UK and was established on October 1st, 2017 through the merger of Richmond Adult and Community College and Hillcroft College. It caters for learners aged 13-16 that find traditional school settings problematic and find learning through vocational activities beneficial. At Broadstones, we specialise in helping those that may have fallen behind, or out of education due to social, emotional or mental health issues, to catch up and identify a clear path to post-16 education. Our most recent Ofsted report states Broadstones is a GOOD school, where learners “make good progress” and are “happy and feel safe in the school.” “Staff are quick to form excellent relationships and re-build pupils’ self-confidence and self-esteem” and “teachers design work to meet the personal needs and interests of each pupil. Trinity Academy St Edward's opened in September 2021. New secondary school in Barnsley. Barnsley high school. At TASE students experience an ambitious, challenging, knowledge-rich curriculum. Masters of Recall runs parallel to our curriculum and supports students to recall core knowledge so that they know more, do more and remember more. Students are given a knowledge organiser at the start of each term. Their home learning is to learn the weekly knowledge using ‘look, cover, write, check, correct’. This knowledge links directly to what students are studying in lessons. At the end of each term they complete a ‘Masters of Recall Big Quiz’. The aim is to be able to recall 100% of the core knowledge in each subject and earn their 100% subject sticker; this happens on multiple occasions, and we are extremely proud of our students. Our ‘Celebration of Knowledge’ assembly praises and rewards achievements each term. Staff and students love these assemblies and are proud to celebrate as a community with certificates, 100% subject stickers and badges. Students love the challenge and are working hard to achieve their MoR badges. Bronze badge = 10 x 100% stickers, silver badge = 25 x 100% stickers and gold badge = 40 x 100% stickers. Masters of Recall is incredibly successful. We already have celebrated students who have achieved 100% in all subjects and over 30 bronze badges have been awarded. Our students are passionate about learning new knowledge and applying this knowledge to new contexts. This is what academic excellence means at TASE.

LITTLE MUSIC STARS is a collaboration with close friend Jeanne Friedman and was born after they realized that they could offer something different to the ‘old fashioned’ pre school music programs that are out there today. Katie wanted to inject new life into traditional children’s songs whilst also writing new songs that make the LITTLE MUSIC STARS program stand out as being modern, memorable and easy to learn. She has really enjoyed devising the new program along with the song writing process. The original songs for LITTLE MUSIC STARS incorporate many different music genres throughout the curriculum. Katie’s classes have a strong emphasis on the children’s imagination through song and dance as well as making it relaxed and fun! Katie enjoyed a very successful musical theatre career in London’s West End along with tours across Great Britain and internationally for 25 years. She appeared as Mavis and Vera on several occasions in ‘Stepping Out’ the comedy play, in London’s west end in 2017. She lived in Los Angeles in 2011 with her son Samuel for 3 years where she developed and taught the curriculum and even teaching Sandra Bulloch and her son on a few occasions! In 2014 she returned back to the UK and started the LMS program here and selling her first franchise in 2018. LMS now has over 200 children coming to classes each week, is present at 6 pre schools and has been part of many many kids parties over the years. Little Music Stars is set for world domination in the next few years...watch out everybody!!

CYA (College Year in Athens) is a non-profit educational institution that has been acting as a cultural and educational bridge between the U.S. and Greece for over half a century.
