Trinity Academy St Edward's opened in September 2021. New secondary school in Barnsley. Barnsley high school. At TASE students experience an ambitious, challenging, knowledge-rich curriculum. Masters of Recall runs parallel to our curriculum and supports students to recall core knowledge so that they know more, do more and remember more. Students are given a knowledge organiser at the start of each term. Their home learning is to learn the weekly knowledge using ‘look, cover, write, check, correct’. This knowledge links directly to what students are studying in lessons. At the end of each term they complete a ‘Masters of Recall Big Quiz’. The aim is to be able to recall 100% of the core knowledge in each subject and earn their 100% subject sticker; this happens on multiple occasions, and we are extremely proud of our students. Our ‘Celebration of Knowledge’ assembly praises and rewards achievements each term. Staff and students love these assemblies and are proud to celebrate as a community with certificates, 100% subject stickers and badges. Students love the challenge and are working hard to achieve their MoR badges. Bronze badge = 10 x 100% stickers, silver badge = 25 x 100% stickers and gold badge = 40 x 100% stickers. Masters of Recall is incredibly successful. We already have celebrated students who have achieved 100% in all subjects and over 30 bronze badges have been awarded. LITTLE MUSIC STARS is a collaboration with close friend Jeanne Friedman and was born after they realized that they could offer something different to the ‘old fashioned’ pre school music programs that are out there today. Katie wanted to inject new life into traditional children’s songs whilst also writing new songs that make the LITTLE MUSIC STARS program stand out as being modern, memorable and easy to learn. She has really enjoyed devising the new program along with the song writing process. The original songs for LITTLE MUSIC STARS incorporate many different music genres throughout the curriculum. Katie’s classes have a strong emphasis on the children’s imagination through song and dance as well as making it relaxed and fun! Katie enjoyed a very successful musical theatre career in London’s West End along with tours across Great Britain and internationally for 25 years. She appeared as Mavis and Vera on several occasions in ‘Stepping Out’ the comedy play, in London’s west end in 2017. She lived in Los Angeles in 2011 with her son Samuel for 3 years where she developed and taught the curriculum and even teaching Sandra Bulloch and her son on a few occasions! In 2014 she returned back to the UK and started the LMS program here and selling her first franchise in 2018. LMS now has over 200 children coming to classes each week, is present at 6 pre schools and has been part of many many kids parties over the years. Little Music Stars is set for world domination in the next few years...watch out everybody!!

Begin Well is a new charity founded by a Health visitor and a Consultant Obstetrician. Between us we have worked in the NHS for almost 40 years and over that time have seen the importance of preparing families for the arrival of a new baby. We have developed an evidence-based antenatal course which equips parents-to-be for all the changes that occur at the start of family life. Working alongside volunteers in the South West, Begin Well provides affordable high quality, evidence-based antenatal classes to pregnant women and their birth partners. The course takes place over 5 weeks, and covers topics including Giving Birth and Meeting our Baby, Changes for me and us, our Health and Wellbeing and Caring for our Baby. There is no charge for the course. Our course is based on the NHS curriculum and is delivered by church volunteers across Bristol and Devon. We link parents-to-be with people and resources in their local community, so after having a baby you are supported through all the challenges and joy having a baby brings. During Covid-19 we are following government guidance and all our courses are taking place via zoom to maintain your safety. Your course will be hosted by volunteers and attended by parents-to-be from your local area.

We're a not-for-profit community group engaging people of all ages within the Church Crookham, Hampshire; Fleet, Hampshire and surrounding areas with Computing, Electronics and other STEM subjects through no / low-cost events and education. Formed in May 2022, we aim to provide benefit to the children, young people and adults of Church Crookham, Hampshire; Fleet, Hampshire and surrounding areas who have, or would like to develop, an active interest in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). We specialise in subjects including, but not limited to, Computing; Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Cyber Security and Electronic / Electrical Engineering. We do this by facilitating a community space in which individuals can meet, socialise and collaborate with experienced technology professionals; use specialist equipment (such as Virtual Reality (VR) systems, mini computer development kits and electronic test / measurement instruments, etc.) and, perhaps most importantly, learn skills through no / low-cost classes / programmes (including some that will reinforce both the national curriculum and skills shortage areas).
