Hi, I’m Jane Barrett, co-founder of The Career Farm and co-author of “Taking charge of your career”. I started my career in in-house recruitment (recruiting MBAs for PricewaterhouseCoopers) and retained search consultancy for blue-chip clients, private companies and start-ups across a variety of sectors including Finance, IT and FMCG. As a recruiter it was clear to me that many well-qualified MBA and Masters candidates were poorly prepared for the interview process, and were unable to explain what they wanted and what they had to offer. This lack of preparation meant that good candidates were failing to get offers. We founded The Career Farm to support the careers teams at Business Schools across the UK and Europe, using our 3-step “GPS” process to help students get better jobs on graduation. Over the years we’ve worked with thousands of students, originally in face-to-face workshops and more recently through our online courses. The Bigger Picture The work we do with Business Schools and our corporate clients helps to support “The Future of Work”, a not-for-profit initiative aligned with the UN Sustainability Goals that gives young people an opportunity to explore the jobs that will help our economies and communities meet the diverse challenges of the 21st century. Naftali brings more than 26 years’ experience in project and organisational management in the UK and overseas. He has a BSc Honours degree and is a former teacher and qualified trainer. He has served as a Director at Tolerance International UK, ACORD UK, Motivation Charitable Trust UK; Programme Manager at Netherlands Foreign Service and ETC East Africa Consultants BV; etc. He has extensive experience with youth, intergenerational and inter-cultural work and training both in the UK and in Eastern Africa. James Musau Nzala James Nzala is the Let Us Connect Programme Co-ordinator in Kenya. He has a BSc IT degree and is qualified in advanced web design (PHP, MySQL database, CSS & JavaScript coding), software and hardware trouble shooting and repair, IT-user training, and network building and management. Ben Ferguson Ben was one of the first to pioneer gap year experiences in Kenya with Mend the Gap. Since then he has become a long term volunteer and brings a wealth of business and hospitality experience to the organisation. He looks after our communications and relationships with our business partners. Nicholus Ole Murero Nick is Rifts Valley Co-ordinator for Mend the Gap in Kenya. Simon Ole Kerempe Simon is the Projects Officer for Mend the Gap in Narok, Kenya.

Air Rifle shooting in the heart of West LondonWelcome to West London Rangers Air Rifle Club website. We are an air rifle and air pistol club for those over 18 years of age only, who wish to shoot non-FAC air guns. We shoot ‘knock-down’ metal targets in the Hunter Field Target (HFT) discipline and meet on alternate Sundays throughout the year, plus some extra dates in the summer. The club has a dedicated pistol range, three rifle practice ranges and a nice wooded area for HFT competitions and practice days. We also love to indulge our passion for vintage rifles and pistols (both modern and vintage) with many members bringing their kit down and reminding us all how these shooting sports first came to life. Sometimes its just for fun and sometimes we get a bit more competitive but it is certainly an enjoyable and growing element of the club. We offer a limited number of supervised sessions for “newbies” or “semi-experienced” shooters and can hire our Air Arms S400 (PCP) or the Gamo GX40 (PCP) or the Weihrauch HW97K (Springer) rifle for a very reasonable £10 per day for those without guns who wish to try their hand before taking a host of advice as to which kit to buy! Our goal is to provide a safe environment to promote the sport of air rifle and air pistol shooting. New members, both experienced or new to the sport, are welcome.
