Phil has been painting professionally for over twenty years. His innovative and
original style has led to numerous sales and many successful exhibitions. Not
only has he earned an enviable reputation as an artist, but also as an amusing,
knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher and demonstrator of encaustic art. Phil
has been involved in Art and design all his working life starting as a trainee
Graphic Artist at the Road Transport Industry Training Board, a Chief Graphic
Designer for The Leisure Circle Book Club, an Art Director for Avon Cosmetics
and a Creative Director for a Sales Promotion Agency. Phil started his own
design consultancy in 1992, Lonestar Design, specialising in marketing
communications and corporate identities. Phil now concentrates his time on his
passion for encaustic wax art - a medium he thinks is under utilised.
