Hi! I’m Nicola and I am the founder of Little Love Harts. I am a certified Blossom and Berry Baby Massage and Baby Yoga instructor and a qualified Hypnobirthing Instructor with The Calm Birth School I also hold as BSc in Social Science and have always been interested in people, other cultures, why they do things & how they benefit both families and society. I am married to Andy have a little boy Hugo R Hart our very own HRH – he is both my why and how for becoming a Baby Massage, Baby Yoga and Hypnobirthing instructor. I loved Hypnobirthing and the tools it taught me to prepare for a safe, empowering and positive birth. Despite our birth not going to what we had ‘planned’ or rather what my first preference was, utilising the tools and techniques my husband and I had learnt through Hypnobirthing we were able to have the best birth ever!! Like many I found the first few months of motherhood very overwhelming – my world flipped 180 in both an amazing and positive way – which obviously I am so grateful for, but also in a scary and at times, lonely way. In having my son I both lost myself and found myself all at the same time… My aim with Little Love Harts is to give the tool for safe, empowered and calm births and to teach parents that they are enough for their baby, yes read the books, yes seek advice from family, friends and when needed professionals – but always know that you are all your baby needs. At Little Love Harts I the importance of love and connection through nurturing touch, massage & yoga to help babies and children reach their full potential & make the world abetter place. My mission is to grow babies with love, touch, responsive care and positive interaction. Little Love Harts aim is to create nurturing experiences for all parents and babies to deepen their connection and confidence. I want to make sure that parents feel nurtured and in turn get the space and tool to nurture their babies in a loving and supportive environment. My classes are an inclusive, accepting, welcoming and safe space for all. I am committed to promoting the wellbeing of parents and babies through the provision of inclusive, educational and supportive classes and services. I will welcome you with a smile, listen to yours and baby’s needs, hold space for you when you need it and give you the tools to bond, soothe, relax and aid your baby’s development – be this at the Little Love Harts studio or via Zoom. I also provide several free services in the Colchester area, to help parents connect such as coffee and catch ups, buggy walks and online community to share and exchange ideas. I can’t wait to meet you, your birth partner and if they are already earth-side your baby! I will share the tools I have learnt through Hypnobirthing, Baby Massage and Baby Yoga to connect with your baby and teach them love, nurture and some amazing techniques to aid both their mental and physical development!

The kitchen is the root of it all, serving a daily menu of breakfasts and lunches that are equal parts healthy and indulgent. From daily stews and sandwiches, to cakes and mac 'n cheese, we love feeding people and creating fresh salads and smoothies that put a smile on your face and nourishment in your body. As part of the holistic experience, we built a space upstairs that is calm, nurturing, and safe; this space is the Beetroot Sauvage Wellness Centre, offering a variety of yoga classes and therapies. All classes focus on gentle movement that not only stretch and relax the body, but allow you to feel into it, explore and perform self-enquiry into your emotional and spiritual needs. A space to rest and focus inward, to thank the body, and to draw close attention to healing. Along with a weekly schedule of classes, we have a variety of therapists, whose knowledge of healing the body is rooted in their own journey, training and experience. They blend sensitivity and magic to create a safe space that allows you to honour your needs and embrace rejuvenation with full intention. In addition to our focus on the kitchen and the body, we have our little slice of heaven, our city sanctuary garden: a rustic space that you can dance in, eat in, laugh in, or bring plants and garden in. As often as possible we have musicians playing live music on Sundays and we thoroughly encourage dancing if you feel so inspired. We do!

ABOUT ME A Leadership Coach With A Difference I'm now an ICF accredited individual, group and team coach. But that isn't how I started out in life! I'm also a PhD research scientist and I've spent 16 years working in and leading academic and pharmaceutical drug discovery research teams. Most of that time I was thriving, but I reached a turning point where I often felt like I didn't fit, and I didn't know why. In part of my role I felt I was valued and doing well, but in another part I was constantly told to do things a different way and everything felt difficult and frustrating. So when I got the opportunity to train as a coach I jumped at it! Very quickly I realised I had a special talent for coaching. I was surprised to discover that a lot of apparently confident senior leaders struggled at work. and that I was able to help them in a way they had never experienced before. Even in those early days of coaching my clients commented on my calm, relaxing presence that made them feel they could be themself in our sessions and discuss things they never normally shared. The training also involved a lot of self development and group work, which helped me to figure out my situation. I started to understand why I wasn't happy in part of my job, yet loved the other part. A big part of this was discovering the concept of flow.

We are a community interest company called Choose Nature CIC with our site being located adjacent to the Wheal Martyn Clay Works, Carthew, mid-Cornwall.  We aim to broaden the accessibility and inclusivity of outdoor learning opportunities and therapeutic support in nature.   Mission statement: ‘Choose Nature CIC works to increase the wellbeing of individuals, communities and the environment by inspiring life long learning and care. Our calm enriching outdoor spaces are emotionally grounding and cultivate a strong relationship with nature’.  We are continuing to restore and develop the site. It has so many exciting areas including gardening spaces, wooded areas, wildlife ponds, orchard, classroom, and poly tunnels. We currently have our weekly ‘Mamas in Nature’ group (supporting new mums and babies as transition into parenthood), ‘Making Tracks’ group (supporting young people with additional needs) and different volunteering opportunities as we establish a volunteer programme. We also host a variety of family events and workshops throughout the year. More recently we have been welcoming St Austell College students onto site to gain work experience on their construction course, as well as striving to become a Makaton Friendly Organisation. Her path included earning an art degree from High Point College (now university), many years spent as an art director for print media, and many more teaching preschool locally. She founded Outside the Lines Art Studio in 2011 to share her belief in the transformative power of visual art with her community. An artist who has spent time exploring an art medium thoroughly may or may not produce a masterpiece worthy of professional framing and prominent display, but they will certainly produce something they are proud of, independent of others’ opinions. They will have expressed themselves to their own satisfaction. They will have experienced something new and learned from it. They will feel more self-assured and confident.
