Excel Women’s Centre was formed in 2013 with origins starting all the way back to 1995. Excel Women’s Centre CIC is an organisation based in Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs which supports women, families, young people, carers and individuals with all issues affecting their quality of life and wellbeing. We work mainly in Barking & Dagenham, and now across a lot of East London, offering a range of dedicated services aimed to support our service users, engage and enable the community. Thus, we strive to empower individuals of all ages and ethnicities to become valued members of society. About Us Excel Women’s Centre, CIC, is community hub that has an open door policy and provides services to all women, children and families residing in the London borough of Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs. The centre offer help to vulnerable women and their families to fight discrimination demand their right and increase their self-esteem and confidence within our multicultural society. Empowerment is the key focus of the organization throughout. With empowerment, more services will be provided and service users will gain the skills and encouragement they need to change their lives. By developing as an organization, service users will be able to see a range of activities materialise in the area of mentoring programs, youth projects, IT clubs, Job clubs, Parenting classes for new mothers, healthy eating sessions and many more specifically suggested by the service users. Excel Women’s centre would like all our services users of the organisation to be able to integrate into Barking and Dagenham borough as well as all around London and have the same accessibility to services that everyone else has in London. By working in partnership with service providers, voluntary and community groups, Excel Women’s Group will lead the way, by illustrating that marginalized communities can integrate into society and become part of the community at large. The group will strive to break down barriers in the area of language by holding English Language Classes and breakdown social exclusion by involving community members in various training schemes and volunteering projects which can help their future ambitions. B.O.N.A. is a voluntary organisation, dedicated to assist nurses from Barbados and other Eastern Caribbean countries, offering professional aid wherever it is needed; to exchange knowledge on issues relating to all members, families, and especially young adults; to lobby relevant authorities on all issues pertaining to young men and women in our society; to focus on friendship and networking between the UK, Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean; to facilitate the co-operation between other Caribbean organisations; to be involved in fundraising projects; to disseminate useful information to the benefit and support of the community and those we serve. The overall purpose of this organization is to increase the popularity of our common interests. We hope to add new members so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want to have fun while we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization will become even stronger.

ETCA is an organisation which grew from modest beginnings. In 1991 A few Turkish Cypriots in Enfield, had the vision or creating an association to serve Enfield's subs~antial, but voiceless Turkish Cypriot population by providing and facilitating access to, appropriate services sensitive to their culture, language and religion. In October 1994 a steering committee was elected and completed all the groundwork for the organisation's inaugural Annual General Meeting. At this meeting, held in January oj 1995, the organisation elected its first Management Committee and ratified its constitution. Since those early days, the organisation has gone from strength to strength, initiating and operating voluntary prf!jects in many key areas including Elders provision, Education, Health!nformation &Advice, Youth & Sports. In May 1996 a new Management Committee was elected. They continued the organisation's development, consolidating' ETCA's existing projects, initiating new ones. They" secured much needed self contained office space, for the expanded organisation, in Community House. The Association also achieved its first substantial grant funding from the National Lottery Charities Board for the Health Project, followed shortly by a grant for an Education consortium bringing together nearly all the Turkish Schools in Enfield. Throughout 1997 & 1998 the organisati'ln continued to increase its capacity to help more Turkish Cypriots in more ways. ETCA launched a Women's Group, extended the Sports project to incorporate two new youth football teams and a Table Tennis team and initiated the much needed Home Careproject. Today the organisation provides support, advice and help for thousands of Turkish Cypriots within Enfield and is subsequently one of England's biggest and most effective organisation in its field of work. Last year Lejke Elders Project was launched together with the Homelessness Project, Sure Start Project and Day Respite Service Project. ETCA, 1991 yılındaki mütevazi bir başlangıçtan bugünlere gelen bir örgüttür. Enfield'de bir kaç Kıbrıslı Türk, Enfield'in sayıca çok ama sesi pek duyulmayan Kıbrıslı Türk nüfüsun kültürüne, dil ve dinine uygun hizmetleri sağlamaya ya da bu hizmetlere ulaşmanın yollarını bulmaya yardımcı olacak bir dernek yaratma düşüncesindeydiler. Ekim 1994'te bir kurucu komite seçildive örgütün kurucu kongresi için bütün ön çalışmaları tamamladı. Ocak1995'te yapılan bu kongrede örgüt ilk Yönetim Kurulunu seçti ve tüzüğünü onayladı. O günlerden bu yana örgüt, Yaşlılara Hizmet, Eğitim, Sağlık, Bilgi ve Danışma, Gençlik ve Spor da dahil olmak üzere birçok temel alanada gönüllü projeler başlatıp işleterek güç kazandı. Mayıs 1996'da yeni bir Yönetim Kurulu seçildi.Y eniYönetim Kurulu örgütün gelişmesi, ETCA'nın varolan projelerinin sağlamlaştırılması ve yeni projelerin başlatılmasi çalışmalarına devam etti. Toplum Evi'nde ( CommunityHouse) artık genişlemiş olan örgütün çok ihtiyaç duyduğu, kendine ait bir ofis sağladl. Dernek ayrıca Milli Piyango Vakıflar Kurumu'ndan Sağlık Projesi i!çin ilk büyük mali yardımı almayı başardı. Bunu kısa süre sonra Enfield'deki Türk Okullarının hemen hemen hepsini biraraya getiren Eğitim Konsorsiyumu yardımı izledi. 1998'de örgüt, kadın projesini başlatarak, spor projesini iki yeni futbol takımı ve bir masa tenisi takımını kapsayacak şekilde genişleterek ve dört gözle beklenen Evde- Bakım projesine girişerek gücüne güç katmaya, saygınlıgını artırmaya devam etti. Bügün dernek, belediye sınırları içinde binlerce Kıbrıslı Tiürk'e destek, danışma ve yardım sağlayan,kendi alanında ingiltere'nin en büyük ve en etkin kuruluşlarından biridir. Geçtiğimiz dönemde 'Lefke ve Bölgesi Yaşlılarevi' projesini hayata geçiren ETCA, ayrıca evsizler, 0-4 yaş arası çocuğu olan anneler veya hamile kadınlar ve ailesinden birisine bakmakta olan kimselere manevi destek sağlayan kişilere destek veren projeleri de hayata geçirmiştir.

EPTA Europe is the umbrella organisation for all the European EPTA organisations. Founded by Carola Grindea in 1978 in London it has today grown along with the expansion of the European borders. EPTA - European Piano Teachers’ Association - unites Pianists and Piano teachers all over the world through its many EPTA Associations which all have regular activities . Every association organizes its own congresses, workshops, seminars, recitals, masterclasses and is committed to present Young Artists Platforms, Competitions and European Young Artists Festivals. An Annual Conference of all EPTA Associations is held every year in a different country under the presidency of the host Association. There is an EPTA in almost every European country and there are several outside Europe - these are EPTA Associates which include the USA and South America, Canada, India, China, Hong Kong , Israel, and Australasia. Every Association sends out information to the central EPTA News which gives current, detailed information of piano-related activities throughout the world. This can always be found on the website and in the Piano Journal- the first ever Journal to be based solely on the piano -which is published three times a year by EPTA. Its first issue was published in 1980.
